Another view from our hike to Pew Tor last Saturday. This is one on top of the granite outcrops. The ponies were a lovely plus. The landscape could easily be the set for a Lord of the Rings film!

From the chapel at the Renaissance castle Kronborg in Helsingør, Denmark. The chapel was inaugurated in 1582. 200 years later the castle was turned into military barracks, the interior fittings were stored away and the space used as a gymnasium(!). But the items were kept, and in 1838 they were reinstated in their original place and there they remain to this day.

The benches belong to the Lom Stave Church which dates back to 1158-59. The benches are not that old for sure, as I imagine at that time no one was sitting in the church, the service was attended standing.

Another shot from my visit to Pew Tor on Sunday morning. This was taken just before we decided to pack up and head to Princetown for breakfast. There was still a lot of cloud and fog but I did manage to get some detail out of the cloud instead of pure whiteness. The tor itself is quite popular as it's easy to get to but we had it to ourselves all morning. The views from here are quite impressive though, you can see Ingra Tor, Kings Tor, Swell Tor Quarry, Great Staple Tor and Brentor church amongst other sights.
