V pátek 7. července 2023 vyrazil z Liberce do druhého největšího města Nizozemska – Rotterdamu nákladní vlak v podobě 19 kotlových vozů.

An oil platform, offshore platform, or offshore drilling rig is a large structure with facilities for well drilling to explore, extract, store, and process petroleum and natural gas that lies in rock formations beneath the seabed. Many oil platforms will also contain facilities to accommodate their workforce. Most commonly, oil platforms engage in activities on the continental shelf, though they can also be used in lakes, inshore waters, and inland seas. Depending on the circumstances, the platform may be fixed to the ocean floor, consist of an artificial island, or float. Remote subsea wells may also be connected to a platform by flow lines and by umbilical connections. These sub-sea solutions may consist of one or more subsea wells or of one or more manifold centres for multiple wells.

BB13 was one of the 'scenic' giant oil storage tanks that dominated this part of Sydney harbour for decades thanks to BP. Anyway, we finally got rid of BP though I note they still operate petrol stations around Sydney - so maybe we didn't, lol.

The history of Pier Sixty-Six and its former owners are credited with helping attract tourists to Broward County.

The Phillips Petroleum Company tested a new logo and a new gas station architectural style and one of the first locations was in Fort Lauderdale at Pier 66. It began as a yacht marina with a fueling dock, boat service facility and car service station in 1956. The Pier 66 Restaurant and Lounge was completed in 1957. Well known for the rotating lounge on top of the 17-story hotel tower to add even more rooms a few years later.

These sandstone beds are exposed on the escarpment or frontslope of a hogback of the Lance Formation near Gooseberry Creek in Hot Springs County, Wyoming. The beds dip back away from The camera. These fluvial (stream deposited) sandstones are Late Cretaceous to earliest Paleocene in age. The thickness patterns of the formation in the Bighorn Basin indicates that it was deposited as the Rocky Mountain foreland basin was partitioned into smaller basins during the onset of the Laramide Orogeny.

Most of the larger ships on the Mersey, with the exceptions of the cruise ships, are now serviced at the Northern end of our docks system. These smaller ships as shown are constant vistors to Stanlow, Eastham and the ship canal, to the South.

Shortly after departing their yard in Clover Bar, a CP transfer with locos 2233 and 3131 prepares to push back into an industry with a cut of tank cars. I had hoped that they would come a little closer before reversing back, but this will have to do.

The street I was standing on was very aptly named Petroleum Way, considering the industry around here. I didn't hang around too long as a security guard seemed very interested in what I could be up to.

This is an attempt at restoring a pretty far gone colour slide. Not only was the original over-exposed, but the slide has degraded over the years with what appears to be fungal growth across a lot of its surface.
