I just love echinaceas, and I have a real weakness for flowers with green accents, so this for me is just delicious 💚

Yellow spider mums (Chrysanthemums) have such a unique, dramatic look with their long, spidery petals. A grouping of them would create a bright, cheerful, almost sunburst-like display. 🌼✨

Every petal a whisper of sunshine 🌼❤️💚

Chrysanthemums are part of the Asteraceae family and are known for their showy flower heads.

The stunning elegance of the red passion flower — a true masterpiece of nature, blooming with fiery grace and untamed beauty. 🌺❤️✨

In morning's hush, it greets the day,

A sunlit crown in soft display.

Its petals glow with summer's cheer,

A burst of gold that draws you near.

#83 in my 100 x challenge- 100 Lensbaby images which happen to be mainly flowers...ooops!

Meet Sweet Sanne, a new dahlia to my garden this year. She was a bit of a slow starter and her first bloom was savaged by black fly. Finally she has shown her true beauty with this small but perfectly formed flower.

Rouge éclat de vie,

Sur vert profond, elle danse,

Étreinte des tons.

Red bloom, life's bright spark,

On green canvas, it whispers,

Colors' sweet embrace.

Red bloom, life's bright spark,

On green canvas, it whispers,

Colors' sweet embrace.

Drenched in light, it starts to sway,

A sunlit bloom in bright array,

With every beam, it dares to shine,

A fiery spark in daylight’s line.

This Strelitzia is in my garden.

Soft photography and a mindful approach.

Appreciating the Moment by taking mindful photos means you're fully present. You're not just snapping a picture; you're observing the intricate details of the petals, the way the light falls, and the subtle variations in colour. It's a way to slow down, breathe, and truly see the flower, rather than just glance at it. This can be a form of meditation, allowing you to connect with nature and find a sense of calm.

"Whisper of the morning sky — a petal kissed by light, holding the calm of a thousand dreams." 🌸💙

Sundew (Drosera auriculata)

I went back to look for the Sundew today and not only were they still doing well, they were soaked with raindrops from the big rains we’ve had in the last few days. They're very small and would easily be missed by most, but I knew where a clump of them was growing. Sundew are carnivorous plants that derive some or most of their nutrients by trapping and consuming animals such as insects or other arthropods. In New Zealand we have Drosera (sundews) - seven native species - and Utricularia (bladderworts) - three native species ❤️
