Taking ICMs of petals and flowers is like surfing over the surface of waves (not that I'd know what that's like!). It's a skimming, a floating, trying to drag out the form of each petal into a silken overlaying of colour, light and shadow. Not too much light and shadow in this one, but the soft pinks are there with a splash of yolk-like yellow in the centre.

One of my Simple Pleasures

And I guess it would also be one of my favourite cliché shots too.

The Transvaal daisies, or gerbera are so lovely, they are big and bright - they are so irresistible! And they hold raindrops so perfectly too. I just love to shoot them.
