Empowering Girls Through Technical Skills – Visit to Govt. Girls Polytechnic Institute, Korangi
In December 2023, a meaningful initiative was observed during the visit to the Govt. Girls Polytechnic Institute Korangi, where young women are being trained under the Basic Electrician Course launched by STEVTA. This important project aims to equip girls with practical technical skills that can lead to employment, financial independence, and long-term career growth in the electrical field.
The program reflects a strong collaboration between multiple partners: STEVTA, which initiated and manages the training; Schneider Electric, which provided professional-grade tools and equipment; and the Shaan Institute of Emerging Technologies, which has taken the lead in delivering qualified faculty and structured learning. Meeting the students, viewing their progress, and listening to their inspiring stories highlighted the impact of hands-on training in transforming their confidence and future opportunities.
This initiative showcases the vision of empowering young women with real-world skills that can uplift their households and communities.
