“E’ tempo di unire e di fare, e a Rovigo Federico Frigato è la persona giusta!”. Così l’onorevole Walter Veltroni ha ribadito il suo sostegno al candidato sindaco del centrosinistra per Rovigo Federico Frigato, nel corso dell’evento “Rovigo si ama e passa avanti!”, la manifestazione di chiusura della campagna elettorale del candidato sindaco Federico Frigato. Una vera e propria festa nel corso della quale politica e musica si sono alternate per animare la città.
Veltroni è stato accolto in città dalla musica del gruppo di percussionisti Batuque Branko, una carovana itinerante di tamburi e percussioni il cui ritmo coinvolgente ha riecheggiato per le vie del centro.
Ad aprire gli interventi è stato il saluto del primo cittadino uscente Fausto Merchiori: “Chiudiamo alla grande, ospitando un grande personaggio. Sono lieto di poter ricevere con voi l’onorevole Veltroni e rilanciare il sostegno al candidato Federico Frigato in questa sfida decisiva per la città. I capisaldi del programma di Federico (famiglia, lavoro, ambiente e buona politica) rispecchiano in pieno le priorità per Rovigo”.
Il candidato sindaco del centrosinistra Federico Frigato ha definito la campagna elettorale portata avanti “una campagna d’amore per la città, intensa ed emozionale fin dal primo momento. Abbiamo presentato un programma fatto di 100 passi avanti per la città perché vogliamo partire dal buon governo dei questi cinque anni e andare oltre, verso il futuro di Rovigo”.
“Chi compie atti di bullismo politico, definisce il centrosinistra una malattia da debellare e punta solo ad occupare il potere, come i nostri avversari, dimostra di non essere adeguato a governare Rovigo, che ha bisogno di essere amministrata con lealtà, rispetto verso tutti, e con spirito di servizio”.
Federico Frigato ha concluso ringraziando la sua famiglia, tutti coloro che gli sono stati vicini e che lo hanno sostenuto fin da subito: “Rovigo è una città splendente, che si ama e si amerà sempre”.
L’onorevole Walter Veltroni, prendendo la parola, ha definito Federico Frigato “la scelta giusta per Rovigo, perché rappresenta le nuove energie di cui disponiamo, ha freschezza, passione e ci crede. Per tutti questi motivi mi auguro diventi il vostro sindaco”. “La destra in questi anni ha seminato egoismo sociale e paura. Noi non vogliamo vivere in una ‘società della nomination’, voglio vivere in una società che includa, non che escluda. E’ solo nel concetto di comunità che c’è sicurezza per tutti noi. Il senso di appartenenza alla comunità è fondamentale, e un sindaco lo deve tutelare”.
“Qui a Rovigo - ha ricordato l’ex sindaco di Roma - siete arrivati al ballottaggio, alla scelta tra due persone. Le caratteristiche per fare bene il sindaco sono: l’onestà, deve essere una persona seria, non uno che vi promette il sole, ma uno che vi garantisce tutto il suo impegno per risolvere i problemi; la competenza; la capacità di ascolto e la capacità di unire”.
“Il mio augurio a Rovigo - ha concluso Walter Veltroni - è che un’esperienza amministrativa importante possa proseguire arricchita dall’innovazione, dando un colpo alla demagogia e all’odio. E’ tempo di unire e di fare, e a Rovigo Federico Frigato è la persona giusta”.
Dopo la proiezione del video emozionale l’onorevole Veltroni e il candidato sindaco Federico Frigato hanno portato un cuscino di rose sul monumento di Giacomo Matteotti, simbolo degli ideali di libertà e di democrazia.
Dopo il momento politico si è ripartiti con la parata musicale dei Batuque Branko alla volta delle altre vie e piazze della città, fino al momento di festa finale in piazza Garibaldi con buffett per tutti.

Over a period of 3 days Lawilink was ask to on behalf of amnesty international to compile a series of images, surrounding persons with Albinism. Lawilink has been working with persons with albinism for over a year and the contacts with the local authorities and friends we made over that time helped a great deal. Lawilink had a team of 4 Eddah (producer), Ernest(director), Charlene (camera tech) & Zac(photographer/driver) the documentary video we filmed will be loaded soon but for now here are some stories and images. Due to discrimination and violence, we have decided not to add the locations of the shoots.

Martha chipeso is 21 years old, Martha left school in standard 2 after suffering discrimination & abuse from other students.
Alfred chigalu is 17, Alfred is the last born in the family of 4 children the only one born with albinism. Alfred left school in standard 1 because his class mates were mocking him.
Annie Alfred is 10 years in standard 3 at primary school. She lives with both of her parents in bangwe when she grows up she wants to be a nurse. Annie has friends both at school and at home they all love her.
Mercy pangani is 8 years old while Daniel is 6 years old, they are both in standard 1 at primary school. Mercy is the first born Daniel is the second born in a family of 4 children.
Harry and Harrison were born twins with albinism, 9 years of age they were both in standard 1 at school. Robbers broke into their house and kidnapped harry on the 18th February 2016 in the house there was the mother and the three children and the kidnappers injured the mother because the mother was trying to protect harry
Brighton Rashid Wende Wende was 32 years old living with his family, Brighton was a business man, Brighton had seven children and two wives both of the wives have gone back to their parent’s homes.

El Presidente Iván Duque Márquez entrega este viernes el complejo deportivo del barrio La Libertad, en Sincelejo, Sucre, el cual será el polideportivo más grande del municipio y que beneficiará a más de 23.000 personas del sector.
Este proyecto, liderado por Prosperidad Social, tuvo una inversión de más de $12.930 millones, y su principal objetivo es fomentar la recreación y la actividad física, mejorando la calidad de vida de los habitantes de este sector y sus alrededores.
La obra cuenta con una construcción en un área total de más de 29 mil metros cuadrados y consta de cancha de fútbol, graderías, plazoletas, andenes, corredores, canchas múltiples, cancha sintética, cafetería, plazoleta cafetería, zona de ejercicio, zona de juegos, ciclorruta y zonas verdes.
La construcción del complejo se inició en julio de 2019 y las obras presentan un 100 por ciento de avance.
Se trata de un proyecto de vital importancia, ya que el sector tiene un déficit de escenarios deportivos y los que existen están deteriorados e incompletos.
“El proyecto se suma a otros cuatro que se realizaron en Sincelejo durante este periodo de gobierno: el polideportivo cubierto en la institución educativa Policarpa Salavarrieta, la construcción de comedores escolares en siete instituciones educativas, la construcción de vías urbanas en el barrio Sevilla y la construcción de pavimento rígido en calles del barrio Sierra Flor. La inversión en estas obras superó los 20.700 millones de pesos”, dijo el Subdirector General de Programas y Proyectos de Prosperidad Social, Pierre García Jacquier.
Sucre es uno de los departamentos donde la entidad ha invertido más recursos para mejorar la infraestructura y las viviendas de la población vulnerable. Hay 38 proyectos finalizados, que suman más de $113.000 millones invertidos y más de 460.732 personas beneficiadas con las obras.
Más de 800 obras de infraestructura
Al pasado 19 de enero, Prosperidad Social finalizó y entregó a las comunidades y entes territoriales cerca de 800 obras de infraestructura social y hábitat, con una inversión de más de 1,2 billones de pesos en 31 departamentos del país. Estas obras benefician directamente a más de 6 millones 437 mil personas.
“Estamos terminando las 1.010 obras de infraestructura que recibimos varadas en este Gobierno. Con ellas estamos contribuyendo a la generación de empleo e ingresos en comunidades con altos índices de pobreza en los municipios intervenidos. Son más de 25.000 empleos que se han generado”, dijo la Directora de Prosperidad Social, Susana Correa.
Dentro de los proyectos finalizados se encuentran la construcción de obras que van desde vías urbanas y rurales que mejoran la movilidad de personas y productos, además de las mejoras en salubridad, hasta acueductos, infraestructura educativa, comedores escolares, infraestructura comunitaria y escenarios deportivos, entre otras.
Igualmente, a través de Casa Digna Vida Digna, una iniciativa del Gobierno para mejorar la calidad de vida de los colombianos, se mejoraron las condiciones de habitabilidad y saneamiento básico de 16.391 hogares. La inversión supera los $164.420 millones de pesos en 244 municipios del país. Este es un indicador positivo en materia de calidad de vida y bienestar social para todos los colombianos.
