North Academy of Performing Arts, Wath Community Festival, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
Wath Community Festival is a part of a much bigger 4 day and night annual festival on the first Bank Holiday in May. There's a lot going on, and the main festival attracts some big names, especially in the Folk world - Barbara Dickson the main attraction this year.
The Community Festival is a free festival that comprises of traditional and modern street acts like Morris Dancing, Drummers, Maypole Dancing, Irish Dancing etc in the morning. Then it's up the hill to the Parish Church for the reading of Thomas Tuke's will followed by the famous bread throwing from the church steeple (see below for more details). This is followed by a Folk Festival on the Church Green. Then it's the evening music festival. And that's just the Saturday.
The will of Thomas Tuke (a local rich guy who died in 1810) provided money so that 40 dozen penny loaves should be thrown to the poor from the 'the leads of the Church' on St. Thomas Day every year … forever. Although St. Thomas Day is 21st December, the throwing has been moved to the Bank Holiday because the weather is sometimes better.

While it’s a rare commodity for a band to tour as consistently as Slightly Stoopid, the group’s diligent commitment to live music provides some insight into why it’s been a few years since the release of their last studio album 2012’s Top of the World. As heard throughout the disk, the layoff between albums has not affected the group’s penchant for cooking up the tasty fusion and massive groove that permeates Stoopid’s trademark sound. Nearly two decades into their ongoing metamorphosis, Slightly Stoopid continues to progress into new musical territory, defining their signature sound even further and creating a contagious feel-good vibe.

ZAHS advanced band performs at Grandberry Mall
Zama American High School’s advanced band played for the first time in a local foreign national concert venue May 22 at Grandberry Mall.
Kevin Hanson, Zama American School band teacher, said he has been here nine years and they have been unable to find a venue off-base.
“For this performance opportunity, we had to send a video of the band to be asked/accepted to play,” said Hanson.
The symphonic band of 41 students played a variety of music to include some Disney movie themed music, Batman’s theme song and the Mission Impossible movie theme song.
Hanson said the mall manager was watching the crowd and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
“We were invited to come back anytime,” said Hanson.

Mr and Mrs Clark performing the show "Nine" at Newport Riverfront. This was the first time I'd ever photographed a "stage show" and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you get the chance to see Nine I'd recommend you take the opportunity to see it.
