I am fascinated by their beauty from the moment they start to bloom and open, to way beyond their prime. As these
flowers mature, the colours intensify and they start taking on delightful new formations...

Flower - Blue Tri-Tones
Colossus deep blue with blotch is a dramatic looking pansy sure to catch your eye. As it suggests, it is blue in color, and often looks deep purple. This popular series features extra large upward facing blooms, a tight plant habit and prevents stretching during warm conditions.
Quite possibly the most popular and recognizable fall annual, pansies come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. The flower size of pansies ranges from ½” to 2” depending on the type. They are compact low-growers, making them ideal for edging and rock walls and paths. Pansies planted in the fall generally have more uniform and bloom, and grow slightly larger flowers than their spring companion pansies.
According to legend, a Persian youth named Farhad, fell in love with a maiden named Shirin. One day, word reached him that she had been killed. Gripped by unbearable grief, he mounted his favorite horse and galloped over a cliff to his death. From each drop of blood that trickled onto the ground from his wounds, a scarlet tulip sprang, a symbol of his perfect love. Due to this, the red tulip became a symbol of passionate love in ancient Persia.

This is one of my more favorite images of our first day in Fort Kochi in Kerela State in south western India. We went for an early morning walk along the beach walk to see the Chinese fishing nets and this Grandpa and his little guy appeared ...and just kind of jumped into my lens :-)
The Peach-fronted Parakeet (aurea Eupsittula) is a Psittaciforme bird, the most famous and abundant representatives of the Psittacidae family.
Also known as budgie-star, Ararinha and coconut little head (Goiás), jandaia-star, aratinga-star, coconuts-of-gold, jandaia, macaw and maracanã-to-forehead-yellow (Amapá).
It measures about 27 inches long and weighs 84 grams. Green head with a front peach color range, bluish face, green-yellow belly. With the area around the eyes in adults orange and gray in juveniles.
Present in a variety of habitats, especially in the cerrado, secondary forest, crop fields, buritizais and even mangroves, up to 600 meters. In some places is considered pest in plantations. Live in couple, who remain united for life. It moves quickly, sometimes interbedded between fast beats series a flight wings closed. It is common to see them in groups.
Mainly present in the southern bank of the Amazon river to the Paraná. North of the Amazon River occurs only in some regions, such as Faro (Pará) and Amapá. Also found from the Guianas to eastern Bolivia, eastern end of Peru and northern Argentina.
The tulip originated centuries ago in Persia and Turkey, where it played a significant role in the art and culture of the time. Most likely commenting on the Turkish tradition of wearing tulips in one’s turban, Europeans mistakenly gave tulips their name, which comes from the Persian word meaning turban.
As Europeans began taking to tulips, the flower’s popularity spread quickly, particularly in the Netherlands where a phenomenon dubbed tulip mania set in at one point during the 17th century.
Tulips became so highly-prized that prices were sent soaring and markets crashing. Tulips are now grown throughout the world, but people still identify cultivated varieties as “Dutch tulips.”

Red tulips are most strongly associated with true love, while purple symbolizes royalty. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. In keeping with my Easter theme, this is the Friday shot. John 19:30 says Jesus last words were, "It is done". To those around him, those following...this was indeed their lowest moment. Rather than an end, it was just a beginning.
This was shot at a church where I was a second shooter for a wedding back in November. When I took this shot I planned to upload it to Flickr for Good Friday.

What's perfect love? how about a man dying in your place, because that's what the Lord Jesus Christ did for each one of us at Calvary.
It's very hard to trust another human being 100% especially if you've been let down/betrayed before..... but trusting in the Lord is failsafe... no doubts, fears, terrified thoughts, when you know you are a child of His..... once you are in that place, He will fill you with peace and maybe even make it possible to trust someone again :)
These daisies in Peatlands Park were very photogenic when I took Mum here last month for a wee walk.

This has been very close to my heart, the photo in the center reminds me of "The Hour I First Believed" , it is just how I remembered it, when I first met Jesus. The photos around the out side are women that remind me of myself, before I met Jesus. They are lost, hurting, hopeless, and walking around aimlessly with no purpose other than "the getting, using, and finding the ways and means to get more"
by the grace of God, I have been clean and sober since 11/15/00 Someone pointed out to me my crazy logic, I was not hurting anyone but my self.... well I think you get the idea!
By no means am I perfect, but today I am A slave to Christ ranter than drugs, alcohol or sin. If you are reading this and thinks that sounds odd, Give Him a chance, maybe you have never been set free from the chains of addiction or just known the feeling that you have been adopted into the family of God, after spending your whole life just wanting to matter to someone, then Jesus the son of God comes when you cry out to Him (to a crack house no less) and he embraced me (just like the picture) the hour I first believed, this is the love I thought I was never good enough for. We don't have to become good to go to God, we go to God and he restores us and makes us good, we don't have to be good to go to Him. What are you waiting for? You can just ask Him right now and tell Him you need him, I prommise he will be there.
I pray for these women, they have all been arrested for prostitution. I'm trying to find a way to minister to these women, Just keep pressing on....

These are my babies... COSMO is 71/2 years old, 9 lbs 4 oz... Favorite things to do, sleeping, playing, eating, snuggling up with you and guarding every sock in the house... Don't mess with cosmo's socks! He has several names we call him... Cosmo, cosie, momo of just fat boy =+) He's turning grey, nice to have a friend go down that road with you... I color...
