Mascara has been used approximately since 4000 B.C in ancient Egypt. It was used for eyebrows, eyelashes and eyes. referred by a substance called kohl. In the 19th century the product we now call mascara came to use and has become a daily make up product ever since.

Already in the beginning of the 20th century fake eye lashes were used for actress Seena Owen while making a film called Intolerance. The lashes used back then were made out of real human hair. This product has evolved to become temporary lashes, made out of plastic and seen on most girls in every day life.

Ja he posat vàries fotos d’aquest poble, Dokkum, un lloc preciós al qual vaig poder fer moltes fotos de les quals estic content, des de la tarda fins al migdia del dia següent amb llums prou interessants i canviants per diferents opcions de fotos. Aquí aprofitant la poca llum de l’hora blava i el cel bastant lliç vaig voler fer una foto minimalista on l’únic element a destacar és, el moli amb el seu reflex, que a més amb la llum taronja contrasta perfectament amb el blau de la resta de la foto.

Un dels molts pobles molt macos a Holanda és Dokkum, i un dels seus molins és De Hoop. És curiós el tema dels molins, és com els fars, no sé que tenen que m'agraden molt i penso que són bons subjectes per fotografia. En aquest cas passejant per l'altre costat del riu vaig arribar a aquest punt on tenia aquesta vista del molí, la mica de nenúfars i herba dels volta'ns penso que són suficients per fer una bonica foto.

Un dels molts llocs preciosos d'Holanda és el poble de Dokkum, com a la majoria del país, l'aigua és un element important, tot i no estar directament a la costa te el riu amb molts vaixells, al costat dels molins Zeldenrust i De Hoop, que és on amarren per descansar una estona. Vaig arribar a la tarda amb una mica de pluja, vaig explorar la zona i fer algunes fotos, però vaig pensar que al matí també seria una bona opció per si tenia sort amb el cel, ja que el sol sortia per al fons. Tot i no tenir un gran cel vaig tenir sort amb el taronja del fons que dona color a la foto. Vaig posar un polaritzador i un ND per potenciar el reflex i aplanar-lo el màxim.

Perfection Reflection. Barnesmore Gap, County Donegal, IRELAND

Dokkum, un poble preciós amb una àrea d’autocaravanes molt petita, però molt interessant, ja que està just aquí a la vora del riu on tens aquestes estampes. Ja he posat un parell de fotos dels molins d’aquest poble, fotos més “netes”, però en aquest cas vaig voler barrejar detalls dels vaixells amb el molí, una foto potser amb molts elements, però, així i tot, trobo que molt interessant amb el molí com a gran protagonista, i amb uns vaixells com a acompanyants molt destacats, la foto en aquest cas és format 3:2, però les restriccions de mides d’Instagram em fan retallar la foto i tallar el reflex del moli, i la “boya” blava, la segona foto és com toca. Una llarga exposició de 6 segons per allisar l’aigua, però sort que no feia vent ni es movia molt l’aigua, perquè sino tindríem els vaixells moguts.

From a Kodachrome transparency, shot with a 1960s CANON SLR.

I took this image on a trip into inland New South Wales, near to Byron Bay, the lake was in a national park that I walked through. There wasn't much there to take images of but fortunately the weather was extremely nice ans created these perfection reflections on the lake which made for quite a nice shot.

Taken on a Canon 1D mark II with 24mm prime lens.

Winter at Perfection Lake in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington.

Quite the awe inducing structure! I must sheepishly admit I spent more time outside admiring the pyramid that I did inside the museum. A beautiful piece of architecture and engineering. I would love to go back sometime during dawn and re-shoot this when there is better light. Sadly, during sunset the fountains are still on and any chance of a reflection is washed away. Someday when I make it back, I shall go back during dawn.

This wasnt taken using a fisheye. Its a 7 shot stitched image, a panorama of sorts but not quite.
