Father and son
Amed (Indonesia) - This photo was taken at 6 am (do not trust the exif data remained on Paris time) in a small fishing village consists of a few bamboo huts on the beach. The "villagers" were amazed to see a stranger on the beach at this early hour. If I hadn't got up so early to take a few photos of the sunrise, I wouldn't have met this little family. I made some pictures of women who lit the fire and fathers who cared for children before getting ready to go on fishing.

* Father and Son. In the mountains, at the limit of the montane woodland, the subalpine stage. In this level you can find some very isolated trees like these. Exposed as they are, the living conditions must be a bit complicated!
The sea of clouds reinforces the impression of isolation of the trees, and of us, it isolates us from the rest of the world.
I am so hooked on chasing this train. I shot this on it's run between Mount Pleasant and Cadillac, Michigan.

The Pear is the false fruit of plants of the genus Pyrus to which many different species belong.
These in particular were excluded from sale because they were imperfect, they had traces of hail and other dents, evident differences in size and shape, while shopping at the market they were donated to us together with an entire box of other excluded ones.
I thank my friends for all the stars they lit up ^_^ as soon as I can I'll do it in the comments.
I thank all the visitors who observe and appreciate my photos ^_^

On April 25, 1962, Louis Marre was in Lansing to shoot C&O E8A #4028 with an eastbound Pere Marquette, stopped at the joint NYC-C&O station. The train appears to be running with an RPO, 2 coaches, a club-lounge, and a standard lounge car. In 1962, (I think) there were still 6 daily Pere Marquettes between Grand Rapids and Detroit, 3 in each direction. A scanned slide from my collection.

Uber Santa Claus
Rouen (France) If anyone would like to retire, it's Santa Claus. He joined a union because, as a temporary worker, he only works one day a year and despite his advanced age, he has not contributed enough to have a full pension. Due to the arduous nature of his job, which requires him to take on a year's work in one day, he cannot find anyone to replace him. As with priests, there is a vocational crisis.
I met him and he agreed to give me an interview. He says he joined an association against animal abuse and replaced his reindeer with a bicycle. Off the microphone, he admits that in reality, his reindeer, he was forced to eat them to survive. Precariousness obliges!
As for his bike, having no money, he had to steal it. But he was careful not to choose an e-bike as he became an environmentalist and anti-nuclear campaigner. We live in weird times.
