Pepper test: will they break glass

After I came up with "Color From the Heart" I tried one other mix with the objective of keeping the cool color gradients but in a simplified format. I mixed "Pepper Art - 9 Frames w/Color" with "Pepper Polka Dots - This Week's Bonus Pic" and the texture from the kevlar speaker cone and that was it, at last I was done. This is what I wanted all along and no further mixing of the pepper will occur, this is it: "Pepper - The End" The images used to make this are in the first comment, enjoy and thank you, have a great Sunday.

Happy Macro Monday!

This week's theme: Condiments

A trip to the farmers market.

Pepper is showing off in front of me. He came very close. Just about 1 meter or so (Squirrels-2021-3534.jpg)

The bell pepper is the fruit of plants in the Grossum cultivar group of the species Capsicum annuum. Cultivars of the plant produce fruits in different colours, including red, yellow, orange, green, white, and purple. Bell peppers are sometimes grouped with less pungent pepper varieties as "sweet peppers".

Tagetes is a genus of annual or perennial, mostly herbaceous plants in the sunflower family (Asteraceae). The genus is native of south of México, but some species have become naturalized around the world. The common name in English, marigold, is derived from Mary's gold, a name first applied to a similar plant native to Europe, Calendula officinalis. The most commonly cultivated varieties of Tagetes are known variously as African marigolds or French marigolds, many of which were developed in France. Depending on the species, marigold foliage has a musky, pungent scent, though some varieties have been bred to be scentless. It is said to deter some common insect pests, as well as nematodes. Tagetes species are hence often used in companion planting for tomato, eggplant, chili pepper, tobacco, and potato. Z2_168

In the Image of Her (Still Life No. 3)

Date: October 30, 2022

In the Image of Her

There are times in photography when it doesn’t go my way, but over the years I’ve learned to quietly work it out. Originally I wanted to shoot my hand picked pepper in Lg Format, being a longtime admirer of Weston Still Life’s. His uncanny ways to compose with sensual light and form. I took several tests shots of the pepper with my iPhone in preparation to study the composition and lighting. After, I carefully laid the pepper to rest in the fridge for the following days to come. When I went to retrieve the pepper, to my surprise it had shriveled, and was no longer the luxurious candidate for what I had in mind. At first I was upset for my carelessness, but then realizing the capture is most important. Gone but not lost, here is one of my iPhone photos of the pepper…In the Image of Her.

I bought these for the family to eat but thought they were rather photogenic so put them in a glass bowl and took their photo.
