The mall opened in 1981, this part with it's 24 m diameter glass cupola belongs to an extension built in 1989.

modified Pep Ventosa technique
I'm sure many out there will be very familiar with this technique, where you circle a tree and take 12 to 15 images. You then take all those images into Photoshop as a set of layers and set each image to an opacity of around 40%. I have to admit that this one is not particularly good, I've seen so many that are so much better. But it's something I've been wanting to try for a few weeks now and when I spotted this tree I thought I'd have a go. I mention above that it's a 'modified' technique based on Pep Ventosa's technique (google it) as I did a bit more with the grassy foreground area.

After an absolute sh1tter of a few weeks this one absolutely melts my heart and gets me back on track.....
My dear old Mum passed away between Christmas and New Year. She had suffered for far too long. We said goodbye to her last week. Covid played its part by not allowing her twin sister to mourn her passing.
Today saw me saying goodbye to my inherited kids grandfather. He was their rock, inspirer and all round top bloke....
I'm not one to get philosophical but recent events have me thinking far deeper than I ever have. Life really is too short, we all must max it out and live for what we truly believe in. Covid needs to feck off and we can all get back to doing what we love.......
As for Pep, she will always be by my side.....

This was the penultimate ball throw before Pep came back limping. Generally she walks a strain off and she is good to go after a couple of hours. However, we took her the vets a couple of days later as she hadn't recovered. Torn cruciate ligament! She was operated on the same day and is now on a long road to recovery. She is doing really well and 3 weeks after the op she has started to put her foot down on small slow walks. Those of you who know her know what a whirlwind she can be! It's bloomin' hard trying to keep her low key! At least she is fixed and ready to go once we unleash her.....

After seeing Flickr friend Wes Iversen's take on the Pep Ventosa technique last week, I looked into how it's done.
This was 9 photo layers merged.
Then color ranges widened in LAB. But rather than toning down the exaggeration, left exaggerated for Sliders Sunday.
And some dodging and burning performed.

It was the most fun egg hunting day I've had in a long time with Pep and family. We had fun playing in the woods and water.

Pepe verde e bianco: ottenuti dai frutti del Piper Nigrum, attraverso procedimenti di lavorazione diversi (così come il pepe nero)
Pepe rosa: frutto dello Schinus molle, o falso pepe. Le bacche hanno un aroma simile a quello del pepe e sono anch'esse utilizzate come spezie (vanno consumate solo in modica quantità poiché contengono sostanze leggermente tossiche).
L'asta della bandiera è la mia erba cipollina ;-)

The University of Central Arkansas homecoming court for 2010 was introduced during a pep rally in the Farris Center. The rally also featured performances by the dance team and cheerleaders, a pep talk from head football coach Clint Conque, and games and competitions for the students.
