(2019) Lady Justice

July 17th is the birthday of my sister and my best friend Eliot. It is also the international day of justice, so here is the colored tribute to them, with an abstract goddess of justice.

I’ve found it disturbing to use “lack of faith” in justice as an excuse to undermine the rule of law.

For an example, if I let my kids barge into your home, trashing everything then I claim it is for justice, for freedom, for human right... I fully support my kids because I believe their action are just. Would you buy it?

I believe true democracy must be built upon a fine justice system.

Without citizens to respect rules of law, how do we participate democracy?

七月十七日是我姊姊及我老友生日，亦是國際司法日，所以畫了一幅抽象的正義女神紀念。

最近與反送中人士/反中人士有激烈的辨論何謂司法正義。

本人認為以不信任法治為理由/借口，而去破壞法治，去扭曲法治，是很荒謬的。

示威者攻擊法治的前線 - 警察

示威者破壞法治的場所 - 立法院

示威者詆毀法治的根基 - 反修訂逃犯條例（殺人犯可逍遙法外）/ 要求絕對徹銷對示威者的暴力審查 （但要求嚴懲警察濫用暴力）

昨日香港報紙頭版竟然還有香港長者說，無論他們的孩子怎麼鬧，都是有理由，所以都是對的，都要絕對支持。

本人認為自由民主是建立在大公無私的法治之上的。

國人的司法素質不夠，又何談民主？

Here's an satirical/promotional illustration introducing the most popular MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Onstreet Role-playing Game) in Hong Kong this summer, which teens can role-play masked roaches for free, and go on streets to vandalize, to assault pedestrians, and to destroy properties, all GTA (Grand Theft Auto) style.

The back story behind it simply is everything the Roach Warriors do is righteous under the banner of freedom and justice.

Here's a color adjusted illustration of my cat Vi from last year, composed of many heart shapes. The encasing heart made the overall shape looks like half of a peach, hence the title.
