With her partner Daryl Sabara, singer Meghan Trainor has spoken candidly about her experiences with painful sex. She admitted to having endometriosis and pelvic floor problems, which made having sex unpleasant for her, in an interview with Cosmopolitan. The singer also disclosed that she went years without learning the truth about her undiagnosed disease.
Trainor revealed that in order for her to concentrate on her health, she and Sabara had to "take sex off the table" for a while. Since then, she's had surgery for endometriosis, a disease in which the uterine lining protrudes outside of the uterus, and has been seeing a pelvic floor therapist for pelvic floor dysfunction.
The singer hopes that by sharing her story, she can raise awareness about endometriosis and encourage others to seek treatment. She also expressed gratitude for Sabara's support throughout her journey.
Trainor and Sabara got married in 2018 and welcomed their son Riley in February 2021. The couple has been open about their struggles with infertility, with Trainor sharing that she underwent IVF treatment to conceive.
