The ultimate "barn find" this car ended its first life at La Jolla Mining Company with the massive 587 cubic inch engine as a power source for the mine. In 1966 it was removed from the mine with the use of a helicopter and completely rebuild.
The absolute best watermelon I have ever tasted, and I'm a watermelon freak. Pale pink flesh belies the complicated sweetness of the flesh, but there's something else - it's dense fruit with an almost creamy, firm texture that's unlike any other I've encountered.
Purchased at a roadside stand in Maryland first week in September, and if anyone knows the variety - please please please tell me!
