Sunrise mood on a cold February morning.

Last week at the peak of the rapeseed bloom in Wittlich County near the municipality of Arenrath.

Letzte Woche auf dem Höhepunkt der Rapsblüte im Wittlicher Land bei der Gemeinde Arenrath.

Sunset in the fog at minus 5 ° C yesterday at "my" old pear tree.

Due to the dense fog, neither filters nor bracketing were required.

*Autumn in Wittlich County*

View of the landscape where I take most of my pictures.

My pear tree is blooming again!!! I didn't notice until yesterday.

A few days ago in the morning in light frost, looking for the "perfect" morning mood.

Last Friday we had real April weather with constantly changing sunny and rainy sections. While the sun was already shining again at my location, a heavy shower fell in the background over the Eifel hills.

Another picture example from last December...when it looked like winter here for a few days.

We had hoarfrost at minus 6° Celsius and in the afternoon the fog cleared towards the evening sky.

Yesterday morning when the winter had a short interlude with us.

Yesterday morning in a orchard meadow that lies in the middle of a forest clearing. Sunbeams and fog create a magical mood.

Not far from home on a sunny October afternoon. The old pear tree on the left had already started changing its leaves a few days ago. It only really shone in the slight backlight.

Last week just after 7 next to my usual parking spot to check the light and fog conditions in the valley...looked like it might be worth it.

On a frosty January morning in search of the light on the border between fog and the rising sun. For a few minutes the fog clouds shone over the forest.

Three days ago in quite cold weather near home.

What you see in the background is part of NYC.

Don't let those Callery pear trees or Bradford pear trees fool you, they smell like "rotten egg" when the wind blowing! For real!!

"Bradford pear tree:

Spring has many pleasant smells associated with it — rain, freshly cut grass and blooming flowers to name just a few — but that less-than-pleasant odor wafting in the air right now may be coming from a tree in your backyard or neighborhood.

Bradford pear trees are in full bloom now, revealing a canopy of beautiful white blooms but also emitting a stench that's often compared to rotting fish, NPR reports. The smell lingers for as long as the white flowers do, making it unpleasant to be anywhere near the trees until the blooms finally fall to the ground.

Bradford pears, a cultivar of the Callery pear tree, are commonplace across most of the eastern United States. Native to China and Vietnam, they were introduced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the 1960s as an ornamental landscape tree, and they quickly took off in popularity because they are affordable and easy to grow and also can be transported easily, USA Today reports.

Their popularity has given root to the rotting fish smell that permeates the air in many places at this time of year. They were often planted in large numbers, row after row, along city streets and parkways as well as in our own backyards.

That fetid smell serves a purpose, though, and it's the same purpose that sweet-smelling flowers serve. Any smell emitted by a plant is to attract pollinators, which is what the Bradford pear is doing with its awful smell."

Autumn in Melbourne is always beautiful, with many wonderful deciduous trees full of colour like these ornamental pear trees, which are quickly gaining the rich gold, orange and red tones of the season.

Melbourne has experienced a wonderful Indian summer this year, and as a result, not only are there still plenty of beautiful blooms about, but the Autumnal colours are starting to appear.

A buck White-tailed Deer munching away on an Oriental Pear that are now falling to the ground. I have an Oriental Pear tree that was propagated in China. The pears are small, juicy and hard. They take a little doing to chew them up, but the deer love them. Bill's Backyard Wildlife Management.

Happy week end. We are enjoying the cols crisp days.

Thank you for coming by.

A double exposure of our pear tree taken last year. We wont see any blooms for another couple of months and I'm getting inpatient. Our branches were just dusted with more snow.

Almost 2 weeks ago in the morning in extreme cold at the fog line.

December afternoon at one of my favorite trees on the heights of the southern Eifel.

After a few days of frost and fog, thick hoarfrost had settled over nature. The sun did not manage to dispel the fog completely.

Sun yesterday had hard to work for coming through the misty clouds...so I made a walk at this magical day...you can see a peartree with colored leaves, on the left side are vineyards and nearby the middle you can see a fairy door to come onto our nice Liebfrauenberg.

The European robin (Erithacus rubecula), known simply as the robin or robin redbreast in the British Isles, is a small insectivorous passerine bird, specifically a chat, that was formerly classified as a member of the thrush family (Turdidae) but is now considered to be an Old World flycatcher. About 12.5–14.0 cm (5.0–5.5 inches) in length, the male and female are similar in colouration, with an orange breast and face lined with grey, brown upper-parts and a whitish belly. It is found across Europe, east to Western Siberia and south to North Africa; it is sedentary in most of its range except the far north.

My pear tree was one of the first to start to blossom. A promising sight, these days!
