Sfandra's Laurel Opashen - 01 by Jessica Clark

The body of the opashen is constructed from green cotton damask upholstery fabric, with accent bands of the same pattern of fabric in gold. Those gold bands were then embellished with appliqued laurel wreaths formed from the green fabric. All openings and the borders of the gold fabric were accented with synthetic braid and large oval glass pearls. The laurel wreaths were also outlined in smaller round glass pearls.

Most of the construction and some of the finishing was sewn by machine. But anywhere that the finishing would show from the outside I sewed it by hand.
