Macro Mondays #Trinket
7DWF: Anything Goes
Size of the frame: 5 cm / 1,96 inches
Bling-blue overkill, I know ;-) Small antique turquoise-blue glass jewellery / trinket box (round) filled with green Swarowski beads and two inexpensive pearl earrings. I wanted to present the pearl studs liks pearls in a pearl oyster shell. The antique blue glass box (is it box?) was a present I got from my mother when I was around 12 (I collected small boxes of all kinds at that time), and the Swarovski beads I had once bought loose at an arts and crafts shop to make a necklace (way cheaper than to buy one, plus I got to choose the colours), but I didn't get the fastener right, so I undid the whole thing and should give it another try...
A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!

Macro Mondays theme : Jewelry

“The pearl is the queen of gems and the gem of queens.”
For this week’s theme I decided to use pearl earrings. Those displayed on my picture also feature some small diamonds. Always a good combination! 😉
The earring at the forefront measure ½” in width. Actually, the overall width of the picture is less than 2”.
Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments

This jewels set is my exclusive for this round of Tres Chic, available in pearl, lucite or metal version (5 colors for each material via HUD).
Fantastic photo of Connie wearing some super sexy glasses of hers - note the large amount of cut in at the left and right of the photo where you can even see her ear in the left side of the photo (through her right lens).
This photo was meant to be an ad for contact lenses, showing how frumpy and unattractive girls can look wearing glasses hence the large glasses, submissive pose and pout, instead though for us gwg fans this is sex on legs :)
Stylish and glam these pearls earrings with metal HUD (gold, silver and pink gold) in 8 pearl colors, available in the Under 100L Room at The Chapter Four

more in comments!
This is another almost-too-late upload tonight, but I had to figure out how to put up more photos in the comments, rather than doing the "reject thing" BECAUSE GUESS WHAT- I bought a wireless remote for my camera and it is going to REVOLUTIONIZE my 365 project! fuck yes!
Anyways, there will be more pictures now more than ever and I'm SO excited! :)
Please have a look in the comments for more goodies from ME, your friendly neighbourhood Elizabeth. :)
OH - and did I mention how much I love my new Nikon?! :)

One last thing: apparently none of my good shots today include me actually looking at my camera...?

Thanks for looking.
The model got fed up and left just her earring and headscarf. For the group 52 weeks the 2015 edition week 20 something relating to one of the old masters. ( this loosely relates to the painting "Girl with a pearl earring" by Vermeer.)

...pearl earrings, that is.
I had fun playing with Gemma's RAW presets in this one! Figured it out...yay! I am still not 100% comfortable playing with RAW, but when I am I would so buy 'em.
I believe I am a RAW girl from this day on.

Beauty is in the eye of the photographer. For the inspiration generously gifted to all of us by the Dutch great master of Light Johannes Vermeer, one absolutely must strive to capture his ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ in a photographic way as tender and caring and loving as possible! Here is my own humble attempt to photographically edit and restore the turban's ultramarine colour as well as the dark greens in the background in a way as subtle as I possibly could.
The famous painting ‘Meisje met de parel’ was created in 1665 (oil on canvas measuring 44.5 × 39 cm). The large pearl consists of little more than two brushstrokes of white paint: one stroke at upper left and the reflection of the white collar below. Please, do go to see the original painting for yourself and admire it at the Mauritshuis museum in The Hague, the Netherlands: Reinvigoration is instantly to be expected for all who care about Art!
Girl with the Pearl Earring is watching this gent working his mobile phone - what would Vemeer think?
