Red squirrel looking for a handout!

Hi all.

Here is my first attempt at photographing my clients at the feeder coming to land. I use a canon 1D2 (ISO 800), 28-135mm lens, a tripod and a remote. I attached a little bowl of peanuts to a stick and taped it to the tripod. Then I aligned the camera so that it was pointing a bit over the bowl. Then put the tripod near the feeder, moved away and waited....

I wanted to photograph something different near the feeder. I need to do a lot of refining on the method but I am happy with the first results. The background is far from good however

p.s. I suggest viewing this one at the largest size.

Great tit on my balcony

The nuthatches certainly gave me the runaround, so quick and the light was not very good, it was difficult to get a sharp shot without going very grainy on the ISO, this was the best I managed.

Many thanks to all who comment, fave or just enjoy looking, it really is very much appreciated!
