Hang on!!
I'm still not sure about what happend while I was photographing Danbo this afternoon...
All of a sudden I was up to my neck in coca cola and I couldn't get out!
Thankfully Danbo was super quick and used a stone to get high enough to help me get out of trouble!
Man... it was scary!

we march on leaving trails of hope behind us. With our hands to the sky the wind will be our guide. At times like these to be the last one standing, hope is all we have left -Vanna
I have loved those boys for quite some years now, and that quote means more to me than anyone will ever know.
I've overcome Cancer, chemo treatments, hair loss, skipping most of kindergarden and 1st grade for trips to the hospital.
I've overcome psychological and physical diseases.
I've overcome hate, lies, and hurt.
I overcame all of it by having hope.
At the end of the day hope really is all we have left.
I love this tattoo so much, I can't even explain it. Thank you to Chris Houfek (my brother in law) from Santa Clarita Tattoo in Santa Clarita, California. He is a beautiful artist who was able to draw out my dream on paper. <3

One week down!! That's kind of a milestone right?
This is sort of along the same theme as yesterday's photo. My roommate has several really well done tattoo's, and I'm sure they will make reappearances as the days go on. I'm quite a lucky fella to have a roomate who is both beautiful AND willing to put up with my camera shennanigans. Broke out the whole 9 with this shoot. Backdrops, strobes, softboxes, etc.
She's very patient......
Peacock tattoos are one of the few tattoos that are not only beautiful, but have deeper symbolic meanings, and thus, meet both the criteria of an ideal tattoo. The exquisite bird, peacock, with its strikingly colorful and flamboyant feathers, is one of the amazing tattoo that one can have. The unmatched beauty of the peacock bird, especially its feathers, have been fascinating the human mind from the time immemorial. Peacock tattoo designs have always tried to capture the beauty and elegance of this exotic bird. However, a peacock tattoo is not only preferred for its look, but also for the symbolic meaning attached to this bird.
What Do Peacock Tattoos Mean?
Peacock can represent several different things in different cultures across the world. However, what immediately comes to the mind with the mention of its name is, beauty and elegance. At the same time, peacock also stands for pride and arrogance, as implied by the expression, 'proud as a peacock'. Peacock is the national bird of India, holding quite a sacred place in Indian culture. It can be widely found in a large number of Indian temples, and known for its ability kill snakes. It has the reputation for being immune to snake bites, while the blood of peacock is believed to drive away evil spirits. Peacock is also the magnificent bird, whose feathers got a place in the hair of Lord Krishna.
Muslim legends on the other hand, speak about the presence of peacock at the gate of paradise. The peculiar pattern of the tail feathers of a peacock is compared with eyes, and so, this bird is known to possess a hundred eyes. According to a myth, these eyes are believed to be able to see hidden transgressions. Even in the early Christian times, the eyes of the peacock were considered to symbolize the all-seeing church. In early Christianity, peacock was also the symbol for resurrection, for its unique quality to get more beautiful and attractive feathers, each time it sheds the old ones. So, in Christianity, Hinduism and Islam, peacock can be found to have an association with divinity. However, in the ancient myths of Egypt, Greece and Rome, peacock and its feathers were associated with completely different things. Peacock feathers in these cultures were considered as the 'evil eyes'.
Peacock Tattoo Ideas
Peacock tattoos are one of the few tattoos that can truly captivate the eyes of the beholder. Majority of the peacock tattoos for women and men are large, so as to capture the intricate designs of the much admired peacock feathers. The feather of this extraordinary bird is always colorful, which gives you an opportunity to explore all the possible color combination. The color scheme chosen for creating a peacock tattoo can play a very important part in making the tattoo really adorable. The whole peacock, with the feathers depicted in details can look sensational on any part of the body. But, in particular, peacock tattoos can be excellent as back, arm or sleeve tattoos.
Those looking for a small peacock tattoo can also go for the peacock feather tattoo, as this too represents the same symbolic meaning. You can place this type of peacock tattoos on foot. A single feather can look especially great on the foot, near the ankles. Women would also find it great to place this type of tattoo on their sides and lower back region. The peacock feather can be incorporated with other tattoo designs to create some unique tattoos. Find out more about:

So, these are some of the ideas for peacock tattoos. But you too can create some of the amazing tattoos, simply by using a little bit of your imagination and creativity. The most important point however, is to choose the right color scheme that complements your complexion, and the tattoo that suits your personality and elegance.
The new lookPeacock Tattoos - Peacocks, and the colourful and flamboyant feathers (see Feathers) prominently featured in the extravagant tail display of the male Peacock have often been featured in tattoos, particularly those with an Asian or Far Eastern theme. We have all heard the expression, "Proud as a Peacock." The expression was first used by Chaucer in the 14th century and still works today. Pride, vanity and strutting arrogance, those are the qualities we immediately attribute to the handsome Peacock. But its astonishing beauty -- especially its magnificent plumage -- has gained it a symbolic presence in temples, royal gardens, and even at the gates of Paradise, according to one Muslim legend.
The Peacock is known as 'the bird of 100 eyes', due to the patterning in its tail feathers. The 'eyes' became a favourite mythic metaphor as all-seeing witnesses to hidden transgressions. The concept found its way into religious belief as the symbol of beatific vision. In the ancient myths of Egypt, Greece, and Rome, the Peacock feather was a symbol of the 'evil eye', and even today the Peacock feather is viewed with suspicion and kept out of the house in some parts of Europe.
The first Peacock (the male of the Peafowl species) strutted about in the jungles of Southwest Asia and found its way eventually to the four corners of the world.
It is the symbol of India, and thousands of Peacocks can still be found in Indian temples, perhaps because they are said to be great snake-slayers. Reputed to be immune to snake bites, its venom-rich blood was believed to chase away evil spirits. The god, Krishna wore peacock feathers in his hair and legend tells of the sons of Shiva riding on the back of the Peacock. In early Christian times, Peacock flesh was believed to be incorruptible. This, together with its eyes symbolizing the all-seeing Church, elevated the Peacock to sacred emblem status, representing resurrection, immortality, and the pure soul.
Uncountable stories attest to its popularity with divinity, royalty, and the military. The Greek goddess Hera (a.k.a. Juno) is said to have plucked the hundred eyes from the giant Argus while he slept, then placed them in the tails of her temple Peacocks. Sufi legend describes the creation of all living creatures from droplets of sweat from the body of the Peacock. In China, the Peacock represented divinity, rank, power and beauty. It was also reckoned that a woman could get pregnant if a Peacock glanced at her!
Throughout the world, the beauty of the Peacock has adorned the heads of royalty from Lord Krishna to Queen Marie Antoinette. It became a favourite bird on the coats of arms of some of the great houses of Europe. During the days of chivalry, to 'swear on the peacock' was considered a solemn oath.
A peacock was often used as a sign for a tailor in the 18th Century. Generally it was someone who dealt in custom fine clothing.
Justifiably proud as the Peacock is of its prismatic beauty, an accidental glance at its own extremely ugly feet sends this angel of a bird shrieking like a devil!

my homage to the great Mucha. ..I've always loved his ladies ..and wanted to give them some ink ;)
I 'tattooed' the same flower that she is holding onto her arm ... to me it represents fate and how all things that are meant to be, will be.
