Lavender Cotton blooms taken at the Melbourne Botanical Gardens. This species is Santolina Virens. They are quite small, the one in focus measures about 1.5 cm in diameter.
The knees get a good work out because they are less than a foot above the ground.

Peaceful Friday
Most of the snow has melted. A lot of my neighbors don't have water. Some were gathering snow from the drifts and melting it to get water. I'm still having to boil the water before using it. The weather's warming up. The Internet is coming in and out and there still isn't a lot of food or bottled water in the grocery stores. The roads are clear, only because the sun melted the ice and snow because we don't have snow plows.
I decided to take a different route on my evening walk when I discovered this scene. It's another section of the old golf course close to my house.

I agree with everything said about Artificial Intelligence. However, the cats out of the bag and there is no putting it back in. So, we might as well starting using it. I just think of it as another tool in the bag

Peaceful Bokeh Wednesday
There was peaceful vibes in this beautiful town This church was built in 1876 and it was quite visible from all directions. It had beautiful architecture and has lasted all these years. two of my daughters went with me for a weekend getaway in the quaint little town of Occidental. They have quite a few historic buildings and lots of history. We enjoyed browsing some of the little shops and eating some really great food. They have quite a bit to offer in such a small town. The weather was really cold, and it was storming, but it was worth the trip as it was beautiful and fun and wonderful to be with my girls.
If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it. This is the most basic kind of peace work.

Going back through some earlier photos from this year that were never posted. We sure had a great time in Pittsburgh!
"Mount Hood is a potentially active stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc. It was formed by a subduction zone on the Pacific coast and rests in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is located about 50 mi (80 km) east-southeast of Portland, on the border between Clackamas and Hood River counties. In addition to being Oregon's highest mountain, it is one of the loftiest mountains in the nation based on its prominence, and it offers the only year-round lift-served skiing in North America."
