I have a friend that relies on this computer to get email for her business, she needed it repaired. However she couldn't afford a new hard disk, so I rearranged her data to avoid the bad sectors

when it comes to computer repair I can fix just about anything. I don't work on laptop motherboards as they are way to time consuming and computers are becoming disposable..

Thanks Robert & MacAuthority for fixing my Mac!

Just one of the five dry/fractured joints on circuit board!!

Bottom of "power" socket.

This is the normal view of a DC Jack that has been removed and ready for the new one to be resolder in place.

Careful inspection is done before we solder the new jack in place.

Memory being fitted to new board

Heres a jack that has been solder in place. The only thing hold the jack up right is the solder below, So, we explain to our customer the importance of being gentle while plugging in the jack adapter. This seems to be the number one repair on laptops.

This is what I hate Chuck fish out of his friend's PC. It was living in the vent along the front bottom of the case. I saw living because it looked alive, despite being a mass of animal fur and dust and who know what...

I left it in the driveway in case a thunderstorm, black magic, or a stray lightning strike will bring it to life Frankenstein style.

The PC had a dead power supply, so I stuck a replacement ATX in in the proper wattage range. PC worked fine at the house. Sadly the old power supply had an additional fan attached to it. This slight fan airflow aid allowed the PC to just barely keep cool enough to operate. So, the owner either replaces the original power supply or buys a new PC since there is no space for another fan in there really. That PC itself was a throwback to older days when their new PC died, as it has serious board issues. Good times.

Also found corrosion/errosion on dvd unit. but managed to clean it up.
