Mardi 20 décembre – Nom d’une pipe, et pourtant cela n’en était pas une, scène de vie ordinaire dans un bar à Bruges.
For the encore, Macca was joined by Ronnie Wood and RINGO STARR for the loudest rendition of 'Get Back' ever heard. Closest I'll ever get to a Beatles concert. Brilliant!

I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps - George Harrison / John Lennon / Paul Mccartney

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you who celebrate Easter a Very Happy Easter. For those of you who don't celebrate Easter I wish you happiness!!
I am going to be off for the next few days and if I don't get around to commenting and giving stars, I will do so when I return.
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. - Lao Tzu
Love doesn't make the world go 'round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile. -
Franklin P. Jones
And in the end, the love you take is equal to the
love you make. -
Paul McCartney
Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses. - Ann Landers
Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest human beings infinite distances continue, a wonderful living side by side can grow, if they succeed in loving the distance between them which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky. -Rainer Maria Rilke
He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you. -
Bob Marley
Love is real, real is love. -
John Lennon
I Love You
Means that I accept you
for the person you are
and that I don’t wish
to change you into someone else.
It means that I care enough
to fight for what we have
and that I love you enough
not to let you go. - Unknown
True love never dies

The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The core lineup of the band comprised John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They are widely regarded as the most influential band in Western popular music.
A member of the group, Paul McCartney, had developed an early interest in photography. His photos of the group, taken at the height of Beatlemania (1963-64) constitute a visual record of a pivotal moment in popular culture.
This photo from McCartney's collection was seen and photographed at an exhibition entitled 'Paul McCartney, Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of The Storm' at the deYoung Fine Arts Museum (FAMSF) in San Francisco, California.
Rosa bracteata is a species known by its common name "Macartney Rose" (nothing to do with Paul **). The pure white flowers have a prominent boss of orange/yellow stamens and are strongly scented of lemons. The foliage is completely disease resistant and persists through the winter. The original plant was collected in Eastern China by botanist, and Secretary to the British mission to the Chinese Imperial court, Sir George Leonard Staunton (1737-1801), and brought back to the United Kingdom by Lord George Macartney (1737-1806), Britain's first ambassador to China, in 1793.
** There is a rose called ‘The McCartney Rose that is named for the musician Paul McCartney and was introduced in 1995.

Not, I admit, my most technically competent of photographs, but I love the faces of the people in the audience at the Royal Albert Hall as they suddenly realise that Sir Paul McCartney is sitting among them. He was just behind me, and I think 'gobsmacked' sums it up nicely...

Day out with ianbartlett and ajlelliott for a circluar walk from Pett Level to Icklesham.
I think everyone in the area knows who owns this windmill. It can be seen for miles and I kept shouting out, "get the kettle on Paul, we're on our way" :) However, I don't think he heard me, as there weren't any cups of tea waiting for us as we walked by :)
