Taken at Shah-i-Zinda, a large necropolis just outside Samarkand. This is a small detail of one of the mausoleums - the workmanship and detail was jaw-droppingly opulent.
While I liked the way my b&w images were turning out, I took out my phone to catch a color version of the day.

kokica papučica ili paukova kokica (ophrys sphegodes) je vrsta orhideje koja raste iz gomolja i čiji se rahli cvat sastoji od 3- 10 cvjetova jedinstvenog izgleda,cvijet se sastoji od vanjskih listića ocvjeća koji su izduženi i prema vrhu se stanjuju, žuto zelene boje sa zelenim žilicama, unutarnji bočni listići su maleni te šiljati pri bazi prošireni, a na rubu crvenkasti, medna usna je dlakava, slična pauku i djeluje poput fantoma koji privlači kukce da opraši cvijet, stabljika je zelenkasta i koja raste do 30 cm uvis te nosi lancaste listove koji su naizmjenični, cvijeta 4-6 mjesec, raste u svjetlim šumama i travnjacima....

Most random is the pattern of fallen leaves, but the brick colors look also somewhat random. iPhone 8+ photo.
This is a photo of patterns in the coastal bedrock near Clam Harbour Beach. The scrapes were made by the movement of glaciers 10,000 years ago.
