a large part of Fisherman's Bay on Southeast Farallon Island was covered in this natural foam from the waves. It made some interesting patterns - especially when the waves moved through it.

These are some shower curtain hooks I recently replaced because one got broken. Also, I haven't used my 50mm lens at its wide open aperture setting in a while, so I wanted to remind myself of what it could do.

Inspired by this shot, but not as well executed.

blogged.

Not vintage (1998) but a perfect idea for this month's smock style. The pattern calls this a wrap-around apron, dress, or tunic.

Just having fun with some repeating patterns and whatnot. Took this at Red Rocks Ampitheatre in CO. It's an amazing site to see.

it's been so long since we've seen any color aside from grey here in poor Michigan. So I set aside some playtime for myself and doodled these sunflowers :)

The blue fabric was from an old skirt of mine and the brown and yellow was a piece of Robert Kaufman that I picked up...The button was off of an old jacket. I used Amy Butler's Hourglass pillow pattern.

One-Piece Frock

"Easy-to-Make"

The fashionable note of gathers (below yoke on blouse, below pockets on skirt) is a charming feature of this "Easy-to-Make" frock for afternoon wear. The sleeves, cut in one with the blouse yoke, may be short or just below elbow in length. The round neck-line is very becoming.

Width around lower edge of frock in size 16 (34B, 28W, 37H) is about 1 3/8 yards.

Length at Center Back from Natural Neckline in size 16 is 49 inches.

Suggested Fabrics --

Plain or Printed: Sheer crêpe, silk crêpe, satin, novelty silk, voile, dimity, dotted swiss (35"), novelty cotton, eyelet batiste, rayon, celanese or bemberg.
