Almost forgot to photograph some treasures from the weekend. Huge basket of old spools-I started whitewashing them before I remembered to take the pic. Basket was included and many spools still have cool labels. There was a whole bag of cabinet cards for $3.50, patterns with neat art (of my childhood) for $1.50. Note the girls wearing little white gloves to play jump rope. I had little white gloves! And, I am not that old! Also a cool South Carolina postcard. I got a 1943 McCall's also-just full of color ads and some great pink velvet baby shoes.

Drenched in an excess of fluorescent orange and yellow construction graphics, Caution: Work Zone by Leanna Perry, is a collection of 14 heavily-ornamented patterns examining contemporary swag rap and luxury fashion textiles. Intricately painted gold chains, aux cords, caution tape and traffic cones weave into complex patterns reminiscent of popular luxury brands including Gucci, Hood By Air, Alexander Wang and Moschino. Encrusted in diamond-plated steel, the vinyl-wrapped edges gleam like silver jewelry or diamond grills while also referencing custom candy painted cars and the luxury automobile industry.
