I started this scrapsbook in October 2017 as a way of incorporating the hundreds of off-cuts I had from making collage works. It seemed a shame to throw them away.
Along the way it has evolved into something more than a notebook and often provided relief in the guise of working on a smaller more intimate level. Something about the diptych or ‘spread’ also inspired to create new spatial relationships and harmonies.
Completed in August 2020 I miss it already so it must be time to start again.
Once there are fewer regulations regarding distancing and transference I will seek one-on-one handlings as the book should be seen and felt in it’s own rhythm, in real time.
Thanks for looking.
