Saw this dear little dog waiting patiently for his/her owner outside a shop as I boarded the boat at Russell, Bay of Islands.
My son was very patient with me - like an exitable kid in a sweet shop - I ran around like a mad thing taking as many picture of this stunning location as I could.
Stood out in the cold and passengers are keen to get on board in the warmth of the train, but are too polite to rush. All are hoping they have positioned themselves at the right place on the platform so they are facing the doors when the train stops.

Patiently waiting for the return of my repaired macro lens, so had to take this shot with the 35mm lens.
Blue dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis)
These dragonflies, like others of their infraorder, are carnivorous, and are capable of eating hundreds of insects every day, including mosquito and mayfly larvae. The adult dragonfly will eat nearly any flying insect, such as a moth or fly. Nymphs have a diet that includes other aquatic larvae, small fish, and tadpoles. These dragonflies are known to be voracious predators, consuming up to 10% of their body weight each day in food.
The blue dasher hunts by keeping still and waiting for suitable prey to come within range. When it does, they dart from their position to catch it.

Kudzu and Jack want me to put down the camera and pat them. They live in the old greenhouse at Belmont Audubon Habitat.

Snow and a cup of hot chocolate with ones you love. Perfect. We are waiting patiently for him to come home for Christmas.
Tis the season.
Finger painting on my iPad in the waiting room with lots of patients before me.
Geez all I wanted was some more of that wacky stuff so I can do more photos!

Grey Heron / Graureiher (Ardea cinerea)
at Lake Magadi, Serengeti N.P., Tanzania, Africa
I couldn't ask for a better, more patient pup. Coulee just sat there through numerous lighting changes, me fiddling with batteries (they are always dying on me!) and a cat running around trying to get our attention.
Working as a gondolier, must be patient work from time to time. This man is on his way into a service station, but perhaps not the most busy one. Good luck, that they have a rotation system.

I went to Springside park in Napanee to do a timelapse of the stepped waterfalls, and I was happy to find a heron hunting for food. Lucky for me, these birds are very patient, and they often stand incredibly still while looking for prey, but once they see something they want, they strike like lightning!
I'm not sure how to tell the difference between a grey heron and a great blue heron (even after a little research looking at both) so I'm just going to guess that this is a great blue heron, simply because I like that name better.
Lottie being very patient on our dog walk whilst I tried to catch some shots of the Hayling Island Sailing Club fleet creeping back into the harbour at low tide after their afternoon race in Hayling Bay

I love exploring my garden in Littlestone whilst shooting macro subjects, I find it fascinating at how diverse and beautiful the World of the tiny can be :)

The residents aren't spooked by cameras up close at the Butterfly Place. This Doris butterfly was very patient with me.
