Well about the game, there were two teams each consisting for 4-5 members. One team will make this long donkey potions as our Turkish friends have told us. The other team will send one member at a time who would make a giant leap and land on their backs, then another and ... so at times the poor long donkey had 3-5 riders on its back. I couldn't figure out completely how win loose situation was decided. Sometime the donkey collapsed with the burden and sometime the leaping frog did not land right on their backs and went down.

To some people it will make more sense if I tell you that the sportsmen were pathan. Its the same group whom you saw making a human tower earlier.

Funny thing about meeting Abid was that I only met him after about 1 year staying in Pakistan. I met him through internet and he had given me some guides about Pakistan before I came to Pakistan.

Only after a year I managed to arrange to meet him. At his home in Peshawar, I met all the male family members ( obviously they live together) - brothers, father, uncle, cousins and nephews. I received the great Pathan hospitality and spent a night with most of them in "hujra" - a guest house in a Pathan community.

We are pathetic creatures , we humans, we are bothered about our religion, our rituals our customs, we want all this to be shown in the best of pictorial light, I remember a man a devotee of Shri Nagrajputra Jimmyji , who sent me an email, quite disturbed , that I had shown his gurus picture that was at sale at the Kamatipura flea market, this Man requested me to delete the picture I could not as it was not within my control my site was hacked, account frozen, the developer was investigating so what could I do, it had taken more than 10 months , so I decided to shift all my religious posts to Word Press, I was doing it gradually , 6000 posts, I had shifted 2000 , here ,there was a good response in terms of viewership and readership, but here too there was a hitch, no photo galleries where I could keep each section in different cubicles of thought

I was to go shoot the Shai Snan at Allahabad Kumbh , the final one on 23 rd Jan 2007 , than finish this ,catch up with my wife in Lucknow. My tickets were booked my Naga Sadhu friend , mentor Guru Shri Vijay Giri Maharaj was waiting for me , I aborted this trip,, for reasons unknown to me ..

I came to Lucknbow instead.. to revisit my past as a child and the graves of my forefathers scattered at Gufra Map, Rani Malka Jahan graveyard and at Talkatora.

I shot the Lucknow Ashura for the first time ..in my 53 years.

I also gave my visiting cards that had the web address of my tainted sites , I had nothing to hide , than hell broke lose, they saw the dirty pictures that were hacked into my site, but I don’t understand one thing my stuff were in separate galleries so why poke nose into the other galleries , I never proclaimed I was a Shia site , I am a photo journalist , I shot pictures of my faith to show the pain of my community..

Yes I do Tandav , when I scourge ,Tandav is the Dance of Death and Revenge , this was my metaphoric way of coping with Shimr it should not bother others, it should perhaps only bother those who love Shimr and Yazidiyat.,.

So I am really upset, I have not deliberately disgraced my faith or religion, no one has a right to tell me what to shoot.. I am funded by no one.

I will continue shooting all religions , with camera eye proclaiming Truth..

Smiling faces of the innocent children from a Govt. High School in Laripora Kalan (Pahalgam), Kashmir. The kids were so keen and impatient to get their photos taken, pushing each other to stay in the frame. Some girls wore hijab and most boys wore pathan suit. They were laughing and having fun. It was tough clicking one child as everyone wanted their photo taken. They were enjoying more because it gave them time away from their classes. Special permission was taken from the school administration to shoot these children while studying, playing and other school activities. It turned out to be such a pleasure shooting such enthusiastic children and interacting with them!

I climbed this 400' high boulder referred to as "cyclops" in the park. You can see other climbable boulders in the background. This park is known for having some of the largest boulders in the world and a tourist suite for climbers from all over the world.

The Fort of Gwalior or the Gwalior Fort is a 6th century defence hill fort in Gwalior, India. Mughal Emperor Babur called it the "pearl amongst the fortresses of Hind" because of its impregnability and magnificence and it has also been nicknamed the Gibraltar of India.

The history of the fort goes back to the 5th century or perhaps to a period still earlier. The old name of the hill as recorded in ancient Sanskrit inscriptions is Gopgiri.

The current structure of the fort has existed at least since the 8th century, and the inscriptions and monuments found within what is now the fort campus indicate that it may have existed as early as the beginning of the 6th century, making it one of India's oldest defence fort still in existence.

The modern-day fort, embodying a defensive structure and two palaces was built by the Tomar Rajput ruler Man Singh Tomar (reigned 1486–1516 CE).

It has witnessed the varying fortunes of the Guptas, the Hunas, the Pratiharas, the Kachhwahas, the Tomaras, the Pathans, the Surs, the Mughals, the English, the Jats, and the Marathas represented by the powerful Scindia dynasty who have left their landmarks in the various monuments which are still preserved.
