Passiflora flowers resemble the tools used in Christ crucifixion. For this reason they are known in some languages as Passion Flower. Their colours vary from white to lilac.
Warren Krupsaw, an american botanical photograph lover, called his photos of these flowers "Passion Portraits".

Sono molto appassionato di tramonti. Vieni, andiamo a guardare un tramonto.,,,,,,I am very passionate about sunsets. Come on, let's look at a sunset.
Some of you may wonder why I called this Passion and Purple. The purple is self explanatory because of the color, but the passion part comes from one of the names for this butterfly. It has two common names, Gulf Fritillary and the Passion Butterfly, because like Monarch butterflies the Gulf Fritillary is plant specific when laying their eggs. The Monarch's is Milkweed and the Gulf Fritillary is the Passion Flower vine.
Hope you all have a good weekend flickr friends...
Thank you all for the comment's and favourites...
Nice viewed large...
the passion flower really is interesting flower. it actually has a bug-like appearance to attract butterflies and bees and this one sure has a lot of wonderful details on it.

My newest assignment was to go to Naturally Naughty Studios and create three boudoir photographs. All of them are to be different backgrounds or stages and different hair, clothing, makeup, etc.
I submit to you Part Three of the assignment.
Check out Part One here.
You can catch Part Two of the assignment here.
Thanks again to my Flickr Sensei for taking the time to give me tips and lessons to improve my Second Life photography skills.
