This finely carved stone relief depicts Jerbai Saklatvala, a prominent figure of the Tata family, rendered in serene repose. Her likeness is immortalised on her grave in the Zoroastrian section of Brookwood Cemetery. Born in Bombay in 1860 and passing away in New York in 1907, Jerbai was the daughter of Nusserwanji R. Tata and the wife of Dorabji Saklatvala. The deeply evocative memorial speaks of dignity, heritage, and a life that spanned continents and cultures.
