Parliament House, Canberra, Australia.
Canberra is a strange place - purpose built to be Australia's capital city, located between Sydney and Melbourne. It is filled with monolithic architectural structures that I find fascinating - this is one of the large 'arms' of Parliament House and this runner just went through my frame as I was composing the brutalistic architecture. The birds also decided to cooperate.
Normally I would edit an image like this using LR or PS, but i'm waiting for a few hours at Canberra Airport and just used simple editing software on my laptop to get it up on Flickr.

It's a little embarrassing but this was my first ever visit to Parliament House in Canberra. It was freezing cold and trying to rain but I at least got a quick look before running back to get warmed up again.

This was taken on the circular road that wraps around Parliament House in Canberra. It was a small booth that only had a filing cabinet and this old phone. It was like a relic of the cold war, except it's probably still connected to a switchboard somewhere...
I was tempted to try the door and have a look inside, but with all the armed guards everywhere, I decided not to take my chances!
Still the late afternoon sun really showed up the phone as a subject, so I had to take a photo from a distance anyway.
