An American Kestrel couple spends a few moments together after a rather intimate time between them.... The future looks good for another generation.
Another one from the maternity shoot from earlier, I didn't take a lot, as they don't really like having photos taken, so I won't be boring you with constant bump pics ;)
Such a lovely couple. I know their going to make great parents.
From my baby announcement photoshoot on November 5th.
I really wish the day that they picked was an overcast day. As the sun kept poking in and out of the clouds.

#11 in my 100 x challenge - Monochrome
Not long now until the arrival of my first grandchild. They are both quite reluctant models but kindly agreed to let me take a few photos.
Danielle & Jeff are expecting. Not sure if you can tell or not, but they were very excited for this and want to document the whole process of their first child.
What a wonderful couple. Have a blessed weekend everyone. Be safe. Do good things. Be kind. Be nice without expecting anything in return. Smile.
Waiting for Jnr™
A nice, long, (if cold) walk later and time for a little sit down.
Still no movement from Jnr™ though, I never liked walks as a kid either.

Got home from work today to find Rhoda having a nice relaxing bath.... plenty of Clary Sage drops in the candles....
Waiting for Jnr™
So the countdown has become a count up. And i am back in work. It feels strange after spending so long in the vacuum of waiting at home with Rhoda.

I'm calling her "Blossom", and she is the latest sock monkey hat I've made. She is not for sale on etsy yet, as this was a personalized order. But, I could be persuaded...

Popped round our friend Hannah's for a slice of cake, another mum to be but with a little more time on her side.

Sorry Dave.
This was a beautiful coincidence. I was just about to upload today's picture of me looking at the clock, counting the minutes until i had to pick Rhoda from a friend's house, when i saw Dave's prediction on the previous post, so i went and shot the same pic again, but with a slightly different expression =)
It's also the day i realised i'm a twat and cannot count. Jnr™ is due today, so my "days left" titling has been 1 day off throught the whole sequence!

Bouncey bouncey.
Unfotunately, having spent the last few months lying in the perfect position for labour, Jnr™ has decided to shuffle around to a far less favourable location.
There is a chance that he may move back round, but the prospect of more waiting and ultimately having to induce labour lurks on the horizon.

As some of you will know, we are expecting the birth of our son on or around Jan 10th. He may well rock up before then too. I am off work until he arrives, assuming he isnt overly late, and much like the devil, Nikon is making work for idle hands.
Now that Christmas and NYE are out the way we are sitting around and waiting, its a strange situation to be in. The Hospital bag is packed, the route is planned and the cupboards are full of tea and biscuits....
let the count down begin......
The proud parents to be! Since the eggs are incubated mostly by the female, I presume it's the female on the nest and the male keeping guard.

we want him out. now.
Going to see some stand-up comedy tonight, not sure excessive laughter is a known catalyst of labour, but we've tried everything else!

Like most London dwellers, storage space is at a premium in our flat, so we decided to empty the cupboard of doom (aka the cupboard under the stairs), to see if there was anything we could throw away to make space for the ever increasing amount of baby stuff we have accrued.
What you see here is only the tip of the iceberg, it will get alot worse before it gets better.
