Since 2003 Lois Hill has been the lollypop lady’s and has led our children and Grand Children across the road to safety as they were going into St Marks national School in Tallaght. Lois said that both parents and children have been very mannerly to her as you can hear Lois saying “you’re Welcome” over and over again, as they always thank her for helping cross in safety. Lois travelled to Springfield in Tallaght, every morning in the hail, rain, and snow and is retiring tomorrow Friday the 27th June 2025.
The Parents and children over the last 22 years will remember Lois for her friendless and the kind words for everyone that crosses, and on special occasions such as Christmas, Halloween and school holidays she gives all the children lollypop’s as they crossed the road. Some of the teachers came out to say goodbye this morning and One teacher now teaching in St Marks recalls her memories of Lois leading her to safety across as she went to St Marks School as a young student. The Springfield Residence Association and the people of Springfield wish Lois a long and very happy retirement.
