Prior to the start of each Fall semester, Langara hosts a Parent Orientation night. The session, which includes a speaker panel, presentations, Q&A, campus tours, refreshments and prizes, is intended to provide discussion on how parents can support students, and info on the College resources available to students.
These are the parents of my mother-in-law, Sharon. They are named Rodney and Mildred. This photo is probably from 1934.
Steve's parents arrived just in time to spend Easter with us. The kids got their Easter baskets that morning, and then we did our usual egg hunts in the evening, before dinner. I hid the eggs for Ava to find, then she helped me hide them for Evan, and finally, Evan took the lead on hiding eggs for the grandparents to find. Everyone had fun, although Evan kept getting frustrated with Ava for giving away the locations of the hidden eggs.
My grand parents, the grand parents I never knew... this picture was taken in the 1950's

Fall Fun Night! Kids came dressed in costume and
enjoyed a night of fun, games and craft activities in the Energy Center on Oct. 21, 2016.
One of my sisters found out about a woman with a Puppy Mill that was getting rid of some "used breeding stock". It was a four hour ride to up state NY but my sister and her husband drove. When they found the place they were given a sweet but very messy female Yorkie and told they could not see any others, take her or leave her. Needless to say they took her ,she was so sweet. I know they would have taken more out of their, but they were glad they got one .The lady made it clear, they were to leave . This little cutie has had 5 litters of her own and my parents were told she had just finished nursing another dogs pups and she looked like she had ,she was still very swollen from nursing. She did a good job, I'm sure... Now it's her turn to be happy. She's been spayed and the Vet says she's healthy. She now lives in the lap of luxury with plenty of attention just for her.
She's looking Great now ! Her hair all grew back and she goes to a groomer once a month. She's got my Parents fussing over her all the time, that's their baby . They love her !
This is an older nestling. Parent and child seemed to be posing. This baby is getting its feathers in now. The fuzzies on the top of the head will identify it as a young egret for some time to come. Notice how the parent has no breeding colors now. You don't need to dress up for the kids.
