My parents modeling for me at the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC ~ allowing me to practice my portraiture. :)
On May 18 more than 200 parents and family members attended the 2019 Parents Recognition Lunch at The Loft at 350, sponsored by the Parents Fund for Student Life and Leadership. The event celebrates the support Seton Hall students receive from their parents and families.
I made the assumption that this was a mother talking with her adult child at the shoreline park in Fulton, Texas. The theme music to Terms of Endearment popped into my head, though hopefully whatever conversation they were having was a lot less dramatic.
Fun fact: The movie Terms of Endearment was based on a book of the same name written by Texas author Larry McMurtry. I always think of Larry McMurtry more for Lonesome Dove, which is among my favorite novels and is my all-time favorite film in the Western genre. But McMurtry also wrote a lot of books that I think did a good job of capturing a particular kind of Texas culture of the 1960s, '70s, and '80s. He wrote The Last Picture Show, which was made into a movie starring Cybill Shepherd and Jeff Bridges. I've neither read that book nor seen the movie, but I did read Texasville, the book's sequel set in the 1980s Texas oil bust.

It was so wonderful having my parents visit in such a troubling time, its been so long since I have seen them.
You have to wait a long time for this moments as a nature photographer but sooner or latter you get them. You have to have patience.
Aloot of time spend outside makes it more likely.
I was very lucky that got to spend aloot of the summer outside and not in a factory all time.

Student Affairs and Parent Philanthropy at Clemson University tailgate party Saturday morning at the Fike Recreation Building.
En septembre 1946, mes parents enseignants( Belgique) ont été mutés à Costermansville (Bukavu) au bord du lac Kivu (Congo Belge à l'époque,aujourd'hui la R.D.du Congo) comme professeurs à l'Athénée Royal de Costermansville.(début historique de l'enseignement officiel au Congo).Les photos et documents présentés concernent essentiellement la période antérieure à l'indépendance de 1960.
Conseils pratiques:
