Here's the Wikipedia article on the Parc. We had a perfect morning wandering way up to the top levels through flowering shrubs and trees full of birdsong.

Parc Guell was Antonio Gaudi's attempt at a housing development in Barcelona, now a park.

Everything designed round mosaics and curves.

The park guell walls keeping out the poor people.

This was a super, super steep street near Park Guell.

Me next to Barcelona's mascot, the lizard. I'm showing my uncanny ability to not be able to keep my eyes open when I point anywhere near sources of light.

Este lugar mágico a meio caminho entre a realidade e a fantasia, contempla dois edifícios em forma de cogumelo, bastante originais, retirados do livro de contos de fadas.

 

Uma escadaria liderada por um dragão feito de mosaicos engenhosos leva ao salão de cem colunas.

 

No topo do salão há uma praça circular que oferece uma vista extraordinária sobre a cidade, cercada pela famosa e interminável margem ondulante, onde a fantasia de cor de Gaudí não tem limites.
