I was at home having a right session on my Xbox 360 when my daughter strolls in from school and asked me for a drink.
Just because she made her own way home from school across 16 roads and a busy motorway she thinks she has the right to tell me what to do.
I was only on the Xbox for 9 hours straight and wasn't in the mood to come off it so early, I had to keep my daughter busy, now what to do.
I put her somewhere I could keep an eye on her whilst finishing off my measly 18 hour session on Battlefield 3 and not have to make drinks or read books :)
I had my Nikon SB600 with see through umbrella to camera left 1/4 power
I had my Jessops 360 AFD with 24" 60cm x 60cm EZ-Fold Studio Softbox to camera right 1/4 power
The flashguns where fired using my Yongnuo RF-602 trigger + receivers.
I had to slow the shutter speed from my usual 1/200 to 1/250 sec down to 1/60 sec to let the picture from the TV come through.
I was going to put a picture on the wall to the right but don't think I have to now.

I haven't got my Christmas decorations out yet, but I was wrapping presents this weekend. Decorative sticky tape for Macro Monday's "Decoration" theme - HMM!
hfdt :)
Continuing with the Royal Mail theme, this one was a real struggle to do. I got James all packaged up in the bubble wrap but then he couldn't move! And then, after hauling him around to get him nicely positioned, we almost got caught by a couple of posties who looked rather less than impressed with us. We ran before we got a telling off :)
This is what I jokingly refer to as "the ego shelf"... craft books I've written or had projects featured in, plus books of press clippings :)

Today the WAH group is visiting the Funny Notes group.
Yesterday a friend posted a picture of her junk drawer, I thought no way am I showing you my junk drawer but then I remembered today's challenge....... What every kitchen should have. Don't know about funny but there's plenty of scope for notes.
Back to the quotes list for this one...
(Edited with my new copy of Lightroom 2, which I'm really liking (it's won my affection back from bridge+camera raw), except for the insane amount of ram it uses- when I'm editing I can't do anything else :( )

Seen near Kirkby Fleetham, its like the "Return Of The Mummy" - except with parcel tape! - A novel use!
It turned out to be a huge tear acoross the whole side of the box, 3 bags of coffee had been ripped open and there was ground coffee everywhere except where it should have been!
This is my favourite shot from my conceptual shoot about wrapping someone head-to-toe in parcel tape. After we'd done a range of shots in the tape, I asked my model to remove it all herself & documented the process.
