I was planning to visit the wooden Mushrooms in Seville but in the end I came across them by accident which was more exciting. We emerged from a narrow street in the old town and these strange shapes were suddenly ahead of us. Some people might not like them but I enjoyed the architects audacity . I wish I had gone back in the night time, Bill Bowman got a wonderful shot from the top of these wooden platforms looking over the city.
Setas de Sevilla ("Mushrooms of Seville") initially titled Metropol Parasol,is a wooden structure located at La Encarnación square in the old quarter of Seville, Spain. It was designed by the German architect Jürgen Mayer and completed in April 2011. It has dimensions of 150 by 70 metres (490 by 230 ft) and an approximate height of 26 metres and claims to be the largest wooden structure in the world.
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM.
I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO
WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT .
These astrantia are just coming into bloom, they are just as beautiful on the outside as they are inside and they have the added bonus of having weed-like tendencies and thriving on neglect :-)
Flypaper processing as always...
Another shot of one of the mushroom in Golders Hill Park. This one is opening up & beginning to resemble a parasol. I have been told it is edible at the young stage!
Parasol Mushrooms I think. Found on open ground these two beauties were stood alone. I couldn't resist taking a quick snap.
Struggling to upload due to poor signal, third time lucky. My apologies to anyone who commented on the previous ones. This one should display properly...hopefully.
Hope your all having a good week 😊
Metropol Parasol
