After the wheat harvest in June, the remaining lines of straw are burned leaving black parallel lines over the contours of the hills.
Photo taken on New Island in the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas). This small island has a 3 penguin species nesting on it, a Black-browed Albatross colony, and great subantarctic scenery.

A gathering to decorate two vintage streetcars for the 2009 Holiday Season.

The photo was taken while I was traveling in Singapore. It was under the bridges next to the famous tourist spot, Merlion. I was fascinated by the shape and the lighting that creates even more interesting structure. I guess it'd be more graphic if I could frame it parallel and equal. So I tried to make them all square as possible as I could, and used the spot meter mode at the under part of the bridges and let the lights on the sky over exposed
