Tin City is a specialty shopping district in Naples, Florida. It is open-air, specializing in antiques and local handmade novelties.

There are four separate buildings. You can buy food, antiques, clothes, seashells, candles, wine, mood rings, and much more.

You can go through one section, end up outside, and then enter another building.

Tin City’s roots date back to the 1920s when the construction of the Seaboard Airline Railroad turned this particular stretch of the Gordon River into a prime spot for clam shelling, oyster processing and boat construction and maintenance.

Fishing businesses thrived here for decades until the 1970s, when the area began to evolve into a marketplace. Seven of the district’s original buildings were transformed into the Old Marine Marketplace, which became the Tin City we know today.

This picture was taken handheld at Sunset time. I purposely gave it an art type touch to it and high contrast silhouette.

I have sold one of these on canvas gallery print 60" wide.

It was fantastic. Best shots of the pier are always during low tide sunsets.

Walking with my daughter to catch a sunset by the pier but caught these storm clouds instead.

A little over a month since Hurricane Irma. The pier remains closed for repairs from the center to the end. The pier pilings from center towards the end has wood pilings and is in need of repairs. Irma's eye wall went over Naples.

With my daughter Selena and friend JoGene.

The photo was taken about 1 1/2 hrs after sunset.

Taken right after a rain shower at The Naples Pier in Florida.

The rain leaving a nice texture in the sand.

Another beautiful SkyCaine image from the Naples Pier in Florida.

If this picture gives you the feeling of actually being there in the water it's because my daughter was really in the water. Camera used was an Olympus TG-4.

Beach walking last Sunday and caught a few good pics of the beautiful post sunset colors at Gordon Pass in Naples Florida
