One of dozens of daily Chicago-Aurora commuter runs powered by E-units in the era this picture was taken on 28 June 1989 rolls through Naperville IL behind Burlington Northern E9A No. 9917, having just rounded the curve that was the setting for so many classic CB&Q photos in decades past.
To encourage people to compost their pumpkins, a city agency invited everyone to bring their pumpkins to a local park for a pumpkin parade. They lit up the pumpkins as the sun was going down.

Disneyland's nightly parade of floats and entertainers that march down Mainstreet. I've always wanted my own shot of this iconic parade and would have preferred a different vantage point but was pretty happy with the result.
