This is something that happens quite often, most of them time when I'm not at home and Tofu is bored. He jumps onto the kitchen counter, kicks the kitchen roll down onto the floor and uses it as a kind of sparring partner. Of course he thinks that if he looks at me with his big blue eyes I would believe that either the culprit was Cleo (which is impossible because she can't climb onto the kitchen counter anymore) or the kitchen roll jumped down on its own (which is probably even more unlikely). :)

Macro Mondays: "Single Use" theme
It's a top-down view of a partly used roll of paper towels in a vertical holder.
(The "Single Use" theme refers to "something that is intended to be used only once, or for a very short time, before being thrown away," and paper towels fit that definition.)

.....when i looked at the picture I posted, i realized that in going in to crop it a bit more using the flickr app's editor, it had wiped all the EXIF data out. and then in an effort to replace the picture with the original, i wiped out everything... sigh.... so i am starting from scratch!!
this is for the macro monday theme of fruits for 10/10. this one *has* the EXIF data. in the comment boxes i'll put the front side and a size verification. i wanted to do something a little different and i guess i did!!
the blue ring is the rim of a Magic Bullet drinking glass and the inner edge is exactly 3 inches in diameter. am keeping the subject matter well within that :)

This is what happens when the weather is bad, the cat can't go out and watch birds and is therefore bored to death !
Well I can always count on Gerry to get onto doing some chores with me. He is very good at that. He also like to boss some of the other bears. He is my number one after all.

I was surprised to see a fully functioning student kitchen at the Flinders University plaza, where you can cook or reheat your own food instead of buying it at the adjacent cafes.
This is part of a roll of paper towels, it was the only one that showed the colours on the side, all the others had white sides.
This is 1 inch wide.

Jasper has unraveled an entire roll of paper towels all over the kitchen floor.
Ripping through the pile,tossing the pieces around, chewing on the edges and rolling in the entire mess is evidently great fun if your a cat.
It's NOT fun for me......LOL!
We have 3 paper towel holders throughout the house. One in the basement, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom closet. Jasper has attacked them all.
All paper towels must now be kept in the cabinet!
Look at him! He doesn't even have the courtesy to look ashamed of himself!

Snowflake made from Papertowel/bath tissue card board tubes. The pic doesn't do it Justice. I used ultra fine glitter and the shimmer is so pretty.
In an attempt not to lose all my brain cells in retirement I'm playing a bit with drawing with colored pencils and painting a bit with a kid's set of watercolors. It helps with patience.
