My original design & paper sculpture for a new CD collection of rare exotica music recordings compiled by Taschen's "Book of Tiki" author Sven Kirsten. The album is being produced by Bear Family Records in Germany.
I'd like to mention that not one bit of this image was accomplished with digital trickery. This is 100% hand-embossed, hand-cut and assembled paper, photographed as you see it here!
This is how I make a stand-up 3D cardstock Dove as a greeting card. It is from "The Pop-up Book" by Paul Jackson (check amazon etc.). It is the cover photograph...
(one cautionary note: This design is perhaps The Best in his book; most of the book is 'boring', unfortunately...) But enjoy some paper and scissor-cutting and I can answer questions about folding and creasing etc.
Happy Holidays...

This is a story of good over evil, health over disease. Part of my Heeling Project, this paper shoe tells the story of Margie. A few years ago she was involved in a terrible car accident that threatened her life and mobility.

On Sept . 23, 2008 I had the opportunity to work with the art students from Northampton Community College in a community art project. Each student created 2 or 3 paper and oil pastel tridimensional pieces based on a template a created. After each pieces was assembled, I put them together in a Racimo (a banana bunch!), a hanging art piece.
