Hawaiian Star made by me, pattern by Judy Neimeyer, fabrics by hoffman (batiks) Made by me in 2007. Won Blue Ribbon for Large Quilt in the Coos County Fair and Best of Show in the Coos Sand N Sea Show in the same year.
I just couldn't resist entering a quilt in this contest, since the prizes are just crazy amazing!! I didn't think I had anything to make, but pulled this random and wildly imperfect block out of my stack of UFO's and finished it into a little quilt!
Inspired by Bonne Maman Jam Jars which I can't seem to get rid of : )
I hope you like it Ayumi!!

I completed an owl pinnie and 2 owl pins to accompany my DQS quilt to it's new home... I'm sure they'll all be happy together!!!
Okay, I know I must be losing my mind... These little hearts measure 3/4 inch finished... They are 1 1/4 inch unfinished!
This is for a lanyard that I will wear to my local quilt guilds. One of our members, Sue Tubbs made a pattern for it, but I had to throw in a couple of my own blocks!
Heavily inspired by blocks that I know Lynne likes, I drafted this pattern. that was one accomplishment. Actually figuring out how to make it was another.
Lynne I ended up using all my own fabric except for the white. I needed bigger pieces...hope that is alright. I tried to match the colors of the fabric you sent me.
My entry for the Little Quilt, sew, vote, swap
Pattern is called Dancing Ribbons.
The ribbon center is paper pieced. There are 18 sections with 16 pieces each!
Made one of these for myself and loved it so much I had to share. I used only solids and Kona white. I quilting circles out from the center. Can't wait to send it to its new home!
Okay, this isn't quite complete. I still need to applique the snow globe onto the background. But I sure hope you like it!
This shows the front of the pouch I made for the Mouthy Stitches swap. Hope that you like it, partner!
The fox is from the paper-pieced pattern Lil' Fox by Artisania. For the pouch I used the Perfect Zip Bags pattern by Elizabeth Hartman. I made the largest size of Style C.
Both the natural fabric and the green fabric are Robert Kaufman Essex Linen.
A photo of the back of the pouch is here.
A photo of the interior of the pouch is here.
Ok partner here it is!! Hope you like it! I had so much fun making this for you! Heather Ross fussy cuts in the house windows and the houses were made from a pattern by Quiet Play.
a teeny weeny hexagon quilt, only the size of copy paper - 8.5" x 11" -ish... More at www.ilikeorangetoo.blogspot.com
a union jack for erica's month, my first attempt at paper piecing besides a basic string block. eek! Hope it works for you erica!
A distant relative of Alfreds, this little bear shows the quilting and binding on my completed DQS11... Still going to make a pinnie to go along with it, but this is it!!!! The pattern is loosely based on a Quilter's Cache block, "Wild Zinnias"! Gotta love Quilters Cache!!!
dear partner:
i am a HUGE dork and left your lovely card at home so had to use a post office label to let you know who was sending. anyhow... the idea behind the quilt comes from my favorite childrens book the Boxcar Children. i **ADORED** this book as a child(and as an adult)! the children in the story go scavenging at a dump to find utensils, cups, plates, etc and then put all of it up on a little shelf in the boxcar. here is my rendition... nothing is chipped per say but there is lots of wonkiness and NON-matchy stuff here. this is by far my most favorite thing i have ever made (besides the two moosentwits). i hope you love it as much as i did making it. happy cooking!
*** a lot of the paper pieced patterns come from: cups and saucers
