My neighbor has the most friendly cat I have ever seen. He always greets me and wants to have his belly scratched. I will always comply. As a special favor to my neighbor I created this papercut cat portrait for him as a gift. This is a layered papercut using five colors and i hope that you like it.

It reminds me of old woodcuts.

Some days I wake up in the morning with a line in my head, and then I see an ad in a magazine with yellow flowers on it, and I whip out my knife and get a piece of art done in an hour.
Only on some days.
This is for sale, though I don't know if I should stick it to the black paper or not. Please help.

I am so totally disliking the new FLICKR setup. It is difficult to reply to your comments and you have taken the time to comment on my papercut artwork---you deserve a courteous reply. Please understand while I find a way to overcome this obstacle.

My latest papercut had a surprising outcome. When cutting the left side I realized I could fold it over and with minor adjustments--I had a back to back image. This gave me much pause for thought as I am going to see what new papercuts in the future lend themselves to this technique. I hope that you like my newest papercut since it was long in coming.
