Macro Mondays

Theme: Goes together like paper and paper clip

Size: Less than 3x3 inches

I used a black paper for the shell, paper clip for the head and feelers and smaller rolls of white paper strips. They sit on a mirror.

The background is a yellow physiotherapy band and orange plastic paper.

There was 3 light sources at 4, 8 and 12 o'clock.

Many thanks for your visit, comments and favs...it is always appreciated.

I did not know there is something called “origami paper" you can buy to do things like this. The creation here is called paper bowtie. It is originally from Spain (I did not know either)... Pajarita de papel. Truly homemade :-)

A macro portion of a watercolor painting on paper. Designed as a greeting card but is currently used as a piece of "refrigerator art." Watercolor on paper by pre-kindergarten child. Note: the black designs were already on the paper; the child provided the watercoloring.

For the Macro Mondays challenge "Monochrome" (February 5th 2017)

For "Life is a Rainbow" January White no. 3

I wanted to create a macro monochrome image without using the short-cut of Photoshop post-processing. So this is the best I could do with daylight, enhanced with LED lighting giving a cool white light. The paper is thick watercolour art paper, and not as white as heavily processed printing paper. The paper was set on a sheet of 'bubble' glass to add reflected light. The size measured against a 2x3" credit card is in the first comment field.

HMM!
