Captured around 20 minutes after the previous picture in my stream.
I left very early that day to capture some falling stars of the Geminids, but the clouds of an active front approached earlier than predicted. Around 2 hours later I was at least lucky enough to see the sunrise. Just a short sunburst and then the sky was completely overcast for the rest of the day.
Far in the distance between the fog and the clouds you can see the Alps of Central Switzerland and Bernese Oberland.

Das Foto ist eine bildliche Rückkehr in meine Jugend in Meissen. Hier auf der Bosel war unser Abenteuerplatz, der Blick von diesem 120 m hohen Felsen auf das Elbtal mit dem Blick auf Coswig, Radebeul und am Horizont Dresden hat mich schon immer fasziniert.

The photo is a visual return to my youth in Meissen. Here, on the Bosel, was our adventure spot. The view from this 120-meter-high rock over the Elbe Valley, with a view of Coswig, Radebeul, and Dresden on the horizon, has always fascinated me.

The Ferris Wheel - the "Sun of Moscow" is a 140-meter-high Ferris wheel located next to the Southern Entrance of VDNH. The Moscow Sun Wheel is the tallest in Europe, surpassing the 135-meter-high London Eye wheel, which opened in March 2000. The average time per lap is 18 minutes and 40 seconds. The wheel has 30 enclosed cabins with a capacity of 15 people and an area of 10 m2 with air conditioning, heating, video surveillance, an audio guide and an alarm button for communicating with the operator, as well as information screens. There are cabins with a transparent floor. The opening of the Moscow Sun Ferris wheel took place on the day of Moscow's 875th anniversary, September 10, 2022......The "Sun of Moscow" reigns over the beloved capital
in the endless azure sky.

The Ferris wheel has given us a hundredfold
joy of meeting in the rays,
raised us up –
the heart is pounding like a flying bird, having conquered the height!

One of the nicest tourist traps In Denmark is Møns Klint. Situated on the island of Møn, the 8 kilometer stretch of white chalk cliffs, 70 million years old, in combination with the emerald colors of the Baltic Sea makes for an attraction you often only see in the tropics.
This is my favourite bridge on the Lofoten islands: Grimsoystraumenbru, the bridge over the sea strait separating Gimsoya from Austvagoya island. I have photographed it in all weather and when we once stood there in deep mist and rain the whole scene looked like Jurassic Park with that specific shape of the bridge making it look like a dinosaur spanning the sea strait. So today we got back to it for the first time in winter and it did not disappoint :)

Le Mont Aiguille, best known of the 7 Dauphiné wonders, is the legendary bithplace of mountaineering. In 1492 the French king Charles VIII orderered the climb of this table mountain. The reports vary about the size of the team under Antoine de Ville who summited this marvel. From the point of view of technical climbing the Aiguille is more difficult than the Matterhorn. This is Black Tor from our fantastic day hiking on Dartmoor last Saturday. The approach was rocky and would have been perfect for a Lord of the Ring's scene! The first part of our hike was pretty windy and drizzly but upon reaching the tor the weather started to change. I got some pretty nice conditions for a photo with sunlit rocks and dark clouds in the back. There's some terrific views from up there - both, into the distant countryside as well as towards Black-a-Tor Copse (see previous upload). As we just visited another tor called Black Tor the week before I wonder how many granite stacks carry the same name...
Today I spent the day at the BMW DP Tour at Wentworth, and it’s fair to say we were treated to some hefty rain spells, scattered throughout like dramatic interludes.
At times, the sky would darken suddenly, turning a deep slate grey as towering thunderclouds rolled in with theatrical force. The atmosphere felt heavy, electric—nature’s own commentary on the tournament below.
By the time I got home, golden hour had arrived, casting everything in a warm, forgiving light. I sent my drone up to chase the remnants of those storm clouds that had drenched us all day. This one here was still spilling its raindrops—only now, they shimmered in a soft orange hue, kissed by the sunset.
The town in the foreground is Welling, quietly basking beneath the drama above.
Just north of the Seltún hot springs, Grænavatn lake occupies an ancient crater. The lovely turquoise hue of its water is due to a combination of minerals and algae that thrive in the heat.

After a cold and cloudy day the weather cleared up in the late afternoon, finally revealing the splendid view of Monte Paterno and Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

I say goodbye to Marrakesh for now. Namely with a view over the big square, the main market square of the city, just after sunset.
The photo is a freehand panorama of 5 upright images. It was taken from the roof terrace of the restaurant "Cafe' Paris" . Since it was pretty crowded up here that evening and my wife was waiting for me downstairs, I didn't have any time for composing the frame. So I had to live with the vantage point that was offered to me. Even if I would not have liked to have had this one lamp in the picture.
By the way, in the background on the right you can see how close the city is to the Atlas Mountains.
Ich verabschiede mich fürs Erste aus Marrakesh. Und zwar mit einem Blick über den großen Platz, den Hauptmarktplatz der Stadt, kurz nach Sonnenuntergang.
Das Foto ist ein freihand Panorama aus 5 hochkant Bildern. Aufgenommen wurde es von der Dachterasse des Restaurants "Cafe' Paris". Da es an dem Abend hier oben ziemlich voll war, und meine Frau unten auf mich gewartet hat, hatte ich keine Zeit für irgendwelche Kompositionen. So musste ich mit dem Blickwinkel leben, der mir geboten wurde. Auch wenn ich diese eine Lampe da gern nicht im Bild gehabt hätte.
Im Hintergrund auf der rechten Seite kann man übrigens sehen, wie nah sich die Stadt am Atlasgebirge befndet.
