Check out this beautiful rustic handmade reclaimed pallet shelf we just finished! This style also has spacing between each plank to let the wall color pop through which is kind of cool. We hope you enjoy our piece of the day!

Make your own Easy Pallet Picture Display Board - or make two - one as a gift; one for you! This is a fast and fun project with endless possibilities!
How to make your own Easy Pallet Picture Display Board:
I took a few pallet boards, planed & sanded them. I cut them to length with my compound miter saw, glued them together & clamped them for about an hour. I wanted to give some extra time for the glue to set since there was going to be some heat.
Now the fun part: I fired up a torch with a short fat bottle of propane - the kind you buy for camping. I torched them to my liking. Once they were charred the way I wanted, I gave the unit a few coats of boiled linseed oil, waited a while & wiped it off. Always use extreme caution with torches - wear protective clothing and safety goggles, and be sure to keep this project away from other flammables!
I love the charred/oiled finish, as it really highlights the stunning wood grain. However, you could finish the wood any way you wanted - paint, stains, or even covered in a fabric of your choice! You are only limited by your imagination.
I installed a picture hanger consisting of a wall hook, a connecting wire, and two eye screws. I used my saw to cut down one pin shorter than the other on some ordinary wooden clothes pins. I did this to get into the thicker wood. With a drill & small drill bit, I added pilot holes to all the clothes pins & attached them with small wood screws.
It was an item that was on an order list of my Mom's plans for gifts. She liked it so much that she kept it and ordered another one. I made it as a Christmas present.

Here is the type of pallet project we love to find for you. "Meble z Palet" suggested us this really well designed Pallet lounge used as a corner Sofa with coffee tables. Beyond its bohemian and vintage style, due to the fabric chosen for the cushions, it features a storage box for pillows, a coffee table with two stages so that you can use your laptop without back aches.
And once the evening comes, all the elements goes together like a Lego to turn this sofa into a bed for two people. Isn't that magic?

Winter is here, instead of buying a ready-made log shed, you may prefer to build it out of pallets. A wood store will provide ideal storage for your firewood to keep them tidy, dry and well ventilated.
If you start this project, remember to build one large enough to store at least one full load of logs. Another advice is also to consider dividing your logs into two different sections - one for seasoned wood ready to use and the other one with wood that requires further seasoning.
Beside the pleasure to build it, you can easily save several hundred dollars/euros/etc... Since log sheds can be found in this price range. Using 1 to 30 pallets, depending on the size of your log shed, here are below the best inspirations we found, with the links to sources when possible.

I'm working on a home project because the wife wanted an Oversized Pallet/Spool Chair. I started with a 54″ cable spool and incorporated storage underneath and all around. I'll stain the vertical pine boards a rich walnut color when I'm done. What do you think??
Oversized Pallet/Spool Chair:
This project is fun. When finished, I'll update everyone! Please see the pictures below to see how I'm building it so far. :)
Looks like a fun idea for the family - picture your family watching a movie while snuggled on this large chair! But now you need a Spool Table, right?

We had a corner of our yard that had an old tree, mud and brush. Nothing could grow due to the woods behind us. I saw so many great ideas online that it inspired me to do a pallet project. Low on funds we decided to try this out.
We were able to find 120 pallets from a business that needed to get rid of them. It became a great project for myself, husband and son. I have never done anything like this so I was sadly mistaken when I thought it would take about three weeks. It has been three months and this is where we are at. Eventually We will add a clear roof.
I combined a few projects I liked into one huge project idea. We absolutely love it and I can see us tweeking it for years to come. My teens love the private, cool hang out spot. I love the zen feel when you sit in it.
We replaced our old fence with a fence my mom was getting rid of. We cut the rotted section off the bottom and with a fresh coat of paint...a new FREE fence for us. The old playhouse from the kids became our new dog house with a sink for a water bowl.
We thought about putting decking across the top of pallets but we fell in love with the rustic look of the painted pallets.

Made this to replace the current free standing low boy unit. Started off dismantling pallets and destressing them buy beating them with a chain, hammer etc. Then applying colour washes, sanding and staining. Repeat until satisfied with result. The chimney was constructed with framing timber with MDF used to make the shelves for the receiver etc to sit on. Then covered in black painted ply wood to conceal any gaps as pellet wood is not always true. Attached the pallets with finishing nails starting around the shelving as that is where your eye is drawn to when sitting in front. One side has shelving for blue rays, and cds while down the left side is a concealed door so you can get in behind it to connect everything up. Hardest part was hanging the door to try and minimize any gaps and to close flush so you wouldn't know there was a door there. 1st attempt at anything like this so took me 4 weekends to work through and complete but we'll worth it. Sets the room off and gives it a bit of wow factor.

For next Christmas we've make a really simple pallet Christmas tree using rough pallet boards, just cut the edges at 45° and make a simple base.. We've also use the original nails so is all recycled..:-) Decorated with oak balls...

All of the projects were undertaken with minimal expenditure on fixings and completed using everyday tools that I already possessed. Materials purchased were, nails, screws, rubber sealant and wood preservative. Tools used were jigsaw, hammer, mallet, crowbar, bolster, sander, square, measuring tape and G clamps.
I can supply rough plans for each piece if anyone wants them. Just email me.
For the vertical planter I disinfected the wood as I am growing herbs in these which we intend to use for cooking. Better safe than sorry I think.
All of the pallets were obtained free of charge as was the felt covering for the log store roof.
