... or how to bring colour into a grey world.
This week's theme of the 'Smile on Saturday' group is 'Selective Colour'. I used to love selective colour but for some reason haven't used it in a long time, so I was very happy with the theme. Mousie obviously enjoyed the theme too ! :) HSoS !
During the visit, along with my photo friend, we was working on composing still life. Here is one of the results.
Texture: Karen Burns, Filter : Topaz, Brushes: my own.

“Painting the Sun” by David Lanz
The sunset light acted as a mysterious brush, showing its magic painting up in the sky and down to the water.
Inspired by the image "Spring Vision" witch I recently uploaded, I paint this picture. Mixed Techniques on canvas 50 x 70 cm
This is a part of a painting representing a bouquet of tulips whose author is unknown to me. It was a gift from the office colleagues for a sick person.

Een tijdje terug was ik voor nachtopnames in ons park. Ik experimenteerde toen ook met beweging. Dit is is de lichtreclame van onze plaatselijke chinees.
A while ago I was for night shoots in our park. I also experimented with movement at the time. This is the neon sign of our local Chinese.
Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.

Even because these flowers don't even exist anymore. :(
The heat of Rio is indeed relentless for indoor plants.

Amazing how one setup can represent your life....
Coffee & snacks...home made and fresh..
Paper to draw on or to scribble words/poems...
A headphone for some music
Pieces of nature to remind you there is still an outdoors....
The ash tray... No I don't smoke... but I do need to sharp my pencil, right 😉
Have a lovely Sunday all....

When a camera meets a brush?
Thank you deckersamy and Patricia de Chenier for inspire me to make this picture
Daytime capture of this iconic scene that we hear about ... and is amazing to see. Used the CPL filter here with the mid-day light.
While sunset or sunrise may make this look even better, it is great to see it under the daytime conditions I think. When we returned to the park later in the day for sunset, storms were all over the place ... hence never made it back to this particular spot. But the other parts of the park and those with the petrified wood are just as amazing to see ... and was quite the drama. Posts to come ;)
Lots of patiance waiting for the perfect cars flow to create an abstract foreground for this Grand Palace Shot, Bangkok Thailand
I am not that good with a brush in my hand, but give me two minutes with the shutter open I can get pretty close to painting this scene.
Might be neat to take one of these shots from Ocean City and apply some brush textures to it ;)
